HOW REV. CHAVIS’ BID FOR NCDP DIRECTOR WAS BLOCKED by Cash Michaels

Response: A damn public lynching but if you ask them they don’t think so. But the sad part is when black folks don’t say anything. I have not heard a damn thing from the African American Caucus of the NC Democratic Party so what good are they?

The fallout from the badly mishandled nomination of the Rev. Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis, Jr. to the post of executive director of the North Carolina Democratic Party this week, is still unknown.

But the behind-the-scenes movement among Democratic rank-and-file members to ensure that Dr. Chavis, a veteran civil rights leader and member of the Wilmington Ten, was stopped, is something that may give African-American voters pause come the critical 2014 mid-term elections. (Source: Read more)

When he decided he wanted to be the first candidate to file for office in Wilson County, Sheriff Calvin Woodard Jr. didn’t leave anything to chance.

My family has been very supportive. My wife’s here with me. The only person who can’t be here with me today is my father, and he’s with me in my heart.”

Five candidates filed for elected office in Wilson County and nine filed in Nash County, according to elections officials. All five Wilson candidates are incumbents. (Source: Read more)

Repost: About The Political Agitator Edgecombe County Most Talked About Ignant Ass Black Man That Don’t Play When It Comes To Politics

I am a grown man and I say grown man stuff so if you don’t like what I say, how I say it, then this site may not be for you. I found out that when I am dealing with certain folks I have to deal with them a certain way so they can get it. I can be nice but I can also get ignant.

I love to play the devil’s advocate and say things that others are afraid to say because they can’t take the heat. I will say things to make people bring out the best and/or worst in them. Some folks can’t take the feedback received because they can’t take getting their feelings hurt. I can take the feedback received because I feel the only way to have a healthy discussion is to play the devil’s advocate especially when the majority is for something. I believe when folks are dealing with issues they need to think about the pros and cons. When the pros and cons are dealt with then and only then I feel the issues have been dealt with in its totality.

There are so many folks who are afraid to talk about “RACE Relations” so some of the information here may not be what you want to read however you have options and I will let you figure out what they are. Hint: Don’t read it!

I don’t make the news, I just report it. I don’t make up rumors, I just share them. I don’t discriminate when it comes to holding black, brown, white and other folks accountable for their actions. I have no permanent friends, no permanent enemies only permanent interest in what is going on around me. I also ask that others hold me accountable for my actions.

This site is geared to promoting black and brown folks but not limited to. All black and brown people are not on drugs, in jail, unemployed nor on welfare. The majority of us are intelligent, hard working, God-fearing and productive citizens. Those of us who are not caught up in the system were all of this and then some long before the first black President Barack Obama became our 44th President of these United States so don’t get it twisted. So in other words do not think that “Race Relations” is no longer needed because in my opinion we need it more today than ever before. There are many folks who are not of color who do not want to accept our new President. This means that our generation will have to pick up from where the generations before us left off.

I challenge all black and brown individuals, elected officials, churches, sororities, fraternities and other organizations to get involved in making a difference in our communities.

“I Love You & It Ain’t Nothing You Can Do About It!!!”

“I have no permanent friends, no permanent enemies only permanent interest.” So having stating that, I look forward to being able to agree to disagree with others as we move forward in doing and saying what we all feel is within the best interest of all whom are involved.

Work, Watch as well as Pray going Forward if you Love Justice in North Carolina! by Curtis Gatewood Columnist

All those who love justice, pray for our movement here in North Carolina. Also pray for Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II.

As you may know, Saturday’s event (2/8/14 – ‘Moral March on Raleigh & HKonJ People’s Assembly’) put Dr. Barber and our Moral/HKonJ movement above the radar nationally/internationally.

Our justice-loving Black, White, Brown, Yellow, and Red brothers and sisters came together and helped to make the event so successful at demonstrating love, unity, diversity, order, intellect, strength and power, it scared the hell into some ‘powerful’ opposition who has since panicked.

The journalist ‘FOXES’ are now bitterly crawling out of their holes in an attempt to stomp this fire out which threatens to breath new light/life, new hope, and new faith into a ‘Perverse and Faithless Generation!’

Expect to see meaner, more divisive, and more perverted journalism aimed toward our movement as we win more and more support and momentum.

Gutter-journalism has been historically used to create dissension, confusion, and even domestic terrorism as righteous movements emerge to bring truth to the light. But the truth is marching on!

I therefore remind you like never before – those who love justice must ENDURE UNTIL THE END – KEEPING THE FOCUS; KEEPING THE (good) FIGHT; KEEPING THE FAITH; KEEPING THE FIRE; KEEPING FORWARD (not one step back)!!!

Edgecombe County: Newcomer challenges Knight in Edgecombe sheriff’s race – Rocky Mount Telegram

The more I read about Allen Dennie and the reason why he wants to run for Sheriff I just don’t get it. It appears that he thinks the current Sheriff is not doing a bad job, just that it is time for a change. What?

“I am extremely community-oriented as far as policing,” Dennie said. “I believe I have ideas for several programs that would put pressure on the criminal element to keep them out of our neighborhoods, thus reducing the break-in and drug rates significantly.”

Mr. Dennie I don’t think you can get much more extremely community-oriented than the current Sheriff already is. I have seen the Sheriff in action on the job and off the job however I don’t know when he is off the job because he is in the community until late at night.
