Let’s End The Baby Moma/Daddy/Children Drama

I don’t want to even talk about it, but just look at this past week in Greenville where the man killed his ex and 3 children. Some are focusing on Trump Drama, Republican Drama on the local, statewide and national levels while we have so much going on with families. Now I have been focused on it all since the late 80’s. So when folk talk about we need to focus on this and focus on that as if we can focus on it all, I get mad as hell. I focus on it all because I can multi-task because it all is dear to me even if I am not affected directly. When folk around me are not happy, then I am not happy.

Look at Family Relationships and see that with all of the mess going on in the world some families got ignant mess going on. Sad when we live in a society where it is tough enough to deal with folk outside of the family be it on the job and elsewhere but then can’t depend on family support. And then we wonder why our children do what they do. Children get caught up in mess that are created by adults because they have a problem with the baby daddy and/or the baby moma. Baby moma/daddy/children drama should never be. Hell that man and woman have had a child together and then come to the point where they can’t even speak to each other although they have another boy/girlfriend and our spouse.

Once you learn it ain’t all about you, the better off you will be.

What I found is that when it comes to folk who have mistreated me why do I think they are going to respect me when they don’t even communicate with their family. If you take some time and look at the whole picture you will see that these folk have some serious issues. Sad especially when I know how close they were when I used to spend much time with all of them. Not only did they turn on me and I didn’t do anything to them but they turned on their immediate family and they probably didn’t do anything to them either. So then the children grow up and never truly get to know their immediate family but is left to have to live with a created family. But these are church folk though.

Children you need if you know of the drama that exist in your life if any, you need to step out outside of the family and get it right. You see you are old enough now to know that you have a responsibility to make the trues known. And more especially if you call yourself a CHRISTIAN.

You see that is why you must not allow mess that you can’t control get to you. Only do your part and let the other go. It is hard but you have to do it. I did that years ago and as long as I know that I done my part, that is enough.

These Bishops, Rev. Drs., Evangelist, Deacons, Mothers, Sisters, Brothers, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews are going to bust hell wide open because they have create nothing but hell on this side and had the opportunity to get it right but chose not to.

If anybody out there that can honestly say that I have wronged them and have not gotten it right, please contact me asap because I can’t fix it if I don’t know it is broken. I have never lived a life where I wanted folk to be mad with me because I have always believed that we all need each other in spite of our differences and disagreements.

Black Lives Matter And Ignance!

I am so sick and tired of folk making the statement Black Lives Matter what they want it to be. I wear my Black Lives Matter shirts daily not because I am a member of an organization called Black Lives Matter but I wear it simply as a Statement to Ignant Racist White Folk and Ignant Safe Negroes.

What tickles the hell out of me is folk that know me, know who I am and that I will stand up and speak out. So since they know that and I have done it long before I had my shirts made in Raleigh around 3 years ago what is your damn problem? My damn shirt don’t make me but it sends a Statement that my black butt matter whether you like it or not. I have always been a productive citizen, started working when I was 5 years old as I worked on the farm not because I had to but because that is my family background, we will work. I have worked 2 jobs from the early 80’s up until the early 90’s while continuing to farm not because I had to but because I wanted to. I have been working on my current job for 29 years and nearly 8 months beginning in 1987 and remember I worked 2 jobs up until the early 90’s plus farmed. My dad and I gave up the farming in 2010 and began to rent it out. This was just 6 years ago. So this is why I get ignant when folk be talking about black folk are lazy. Well be specific when you talk around me because I damn sure ain’t the one.

Now that I have reminded you of my work history, those of you who know me, know this so when I wear my Black Lives Matter Shirt how in the hell can you connect me to violence being a thug and other? Okay when folk don’t know you, they will make assumptions about you but that is why one need to do their homework so they will not look ignant when they find out who the real Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) The Political Agitator ie: The Watch Dog of The East is. Don’t be mad with me because I ain’t scared to say what I mean and mean what I say because I will not bow down to no man. I do my homework so that when I say what I mean I can back it up with the facts. I get emotional based of facts and not opinion. And if and when I make an error about something, I will apologize and/or stand to be corrected.

I am going to start being more vocal when folk be they Pastors, Church Officers, Elected Officials and from all walks of life make a statement about Black Lives Matter that I feel based on the facts are totally ignant and put Black Lives Matter in a negative spotlight.

Folk tickle the hell out of me talking about All Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matter and making up other stuff that matters to downplay Black Lives Matter. Well what I just said is all of those lives matter but for instance as a relates to Blue Lives Matter wasn’t the black man black before he began in law enforcement? White Officers Lives Matter and if white folk want to talk about White Lives Matter, I have no problem with that. But why ignants got to be mad with me because I make a statement that Black Lives Matter. Well I am gonna continue to do it daily so your ignant butt gonna stay mad with me a long, long time.

The older I get the less tolerance I have for ignance so don’t bother me because you gonna hear from me.

I am for justice no matter who it is for or against!

I have no permanent friends no permanent enemies only permanent interest.

Now Run & Tell That!

Rev. Alvin Jones Host of To God Be The Glory Radio Ministry Broadcast On WCPS On Saturday Mornings Today’s Message

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: St. Mark 15:25

SERMONIC THOUGH: Canvassing the scene of the cross

We are allowed to see IMITATORS, INSTIGATORS, DICTATORS, WANNA-BE TRANSLATORS, SPECTATORS, and the LIBERATOR

Verse 19 highlights the IMITATORS. The message bible says the soldiers “knelt down in mock worship.” Their worship wasn’t real. They had the outward form but they didn’t have the inner power. And just as there is imitation leather, imitation fur, imitation jewelry, imitation crabmeat, and imitation vanilla favor, there are many who try to disguise themselves as true worshippers, but their worship is just as phony as the soldiers in verse 19 who knelt down in mock worship. They have the external but not the internal. They are professors, not possessors.

Verses 29 and 30 highlights the INSTIGATORS. An instigator is one who tries to urge or provoke others to action. The scripture identify the instigators as passerbys. As they walked pass the cross, they were trying to provoke Jesus to come down from the cross. Two things were revealed about these instigators:

1. They didn’t have the facts. As a result, they were running with a lie. As the instigators passed by the cross, scripture says they shouted to Jesus saying, “You bragged you could tear down the Temple and then rebuild it in three days.” The truth of the matter is Jesus never said that. That was a false accusation presented at His trial. So because somebody else said it, the instigators assumed it was truth. Therefore, they didn’t have the facts. And as a result, they were running with a lie.

2. The INSTIGATORS were urging Christ to do something that was not in keeping with the plan of God for His life. The ultimate fulfillment of God’s purpose in the life of Christ REQUIRED that He stay on the cross and die. The instigators were urging Him to do on the contrary. Many members in the body of Christ have suffered emotional scars because of instigators. Many ministries are stagnant because of instigators. Many churches have split because of instigators.

Verses 31 and 32 highlights the DICTATORS. The bible says in a very commanding voice, they ordered Jesus to come down from the cross. Notice that Mark didn’t identify the dictators by name. But he identified them by their position of leadership. We got to be careful who we place in leadership. Some people think that a position of leadership authorizes them to look down upon and to be a dictator to others.

Verse 34 points out the WANNA-BE-TRANSLATORS. These are the ones who tried to interpret what Jesus said from using their own intellect. We will never have the intellectual capacity to interpret God’s word without the illumination of the Holy Spirit. It makes no difference how educated we are or how many seminaries we’ve attended.

Verse 40 shows us the SPECTATORS. A spectator is defined as an onlooker; an observer. We’re told that the women were watching from a distance. They were not doing anything. They were just watching. These are your spectators. Sometimes people show places, including but not limited to church, just to spectate; just to see:

See who came to church and who didn’t
See who said what during the testimonial service
See if Sister Collard Green purse matches her dress
See if Bro Hamhock tie coordinates with his suit

God isn’t looking for spectators. He is looking for participatory….those who have a mind to work.

And finally, the most important person that Mark allows us to see at the scene of the cross was not the IMITATOR, INSTIGATOR, DICTATOR, WANNA-BE-TRANSLATOR, or the SPECTATOR. But the most important person at that scene was the LIBERATOR. Because of what the Liberator did for me on the cross, I am free.

I am free from the grip and guilt of sin

I am free from the condemnation of the law

I am free from eternal damnation and separation from God

I am free from seeking the validation of others because I’ve already been confirmed by God

I am free from the opinions of others because I know what God has said about me.

Yes, I saw the imitators, instigators, dictators, wanna-be-translators, and spectators. But thank God I saw the LIBERATOR who died to set me free.

Rep. Butterfield Statement on Pitt County Board of Elections Decision to Limit Early Voting

Congressman G. K. Butterfield (NC-01) today issued the following statement calling on the Pitt County Board of Elections to reconsider its decision to deny citizens an opportunity to vote on the two Sundays prior to the election:

The right to vote is fundamental to our Democracy. Sunday voting is permitted in many counties across North Carolina, and the Pitt County Board of Elections should be flexible in affording its citizens the opportunity to do the same. The fact is that African American voters participate in large numbers during the early vote, particularly on Sunday. With this decision, the Pitt County Board of Elections has clearly demonstrated it seeks to suppress African American participation in this election.”

“I will join Pitt County citizens in petitioning the North Carolina State Board of Elections to reject the early vote plan of the Pitt County Board of Elections.”

Tarboro NC – Edgecombe County Board Of Elections Votes On Early Voting Sites/Hours Meeting Out Of Control

image

Click on photo of chair to watch video

The Edgecombe County Board of Elections met on Tuesday August 16, 2016 5 PM and was one of the most out of control meetings I have attended in quite some time. The board is made up of 2 Republicans a white female, a white male (chair) and 1 Democrat a black female.

The meetings was opened by the members present because the chair arrived a little late.

Public comments are at the beginning of the meeting and it began with Rev. Dr. Thomas L. Walker addressing the board followed by several of us. But the meeting was to vote on early voting sites/hours so the discussion took place during the entire meeting along with the public comments although the public comments were not supposes to have been entertained during the whole meeting. However it was good because it helped with the discussion of the board.

Watch video to see just how ignant this meeting was. Totally out of control. See it for yourself and make your own decision.

Tarboro NC – Board of Elections Meeting Today

Please attend the Edgecombe County Board of Elections meeting today at 5 PM to see what changes will be made since the courts struck down some of the Voter ID mess that the Republicans had put in place.

See what early voting sites will be open and/or closed.

Folk you need to get involved in local politics.

Attend The Edgecombe County Board of Elections Meeting On Tuesday August 16

Curmilus–

On August 16, at 5 p.m., the Edgecombe County Board of Elections will meet to adopt a 17-day Early Voting plan for the November 2016 General Election. Prompted by the new voting ruling expanding Early Voting by seven additional days, this meeting will determine your final options to vote early and whether the plan will mean longer lines and more confusion on Election Day. The board will decide:

  • whether to provide good satellite voting locations that serve underrepresented voters throughout the 17-day Early Voting period, including young voters and voters of color; and
  • whether to adopt strong evening and weekend hours over the 17-day Early Voting period, including afternoon hours for at least one Sunday.

This is your last chance to take action for Early Voting – there are two ways to do it:

STEP #1: CONTACT YOUR COUNTY BOE

Now’s the time to contact your Edgecombe County Board of Elections members and ask them to create Early Voting plans that include polling hours and locations that work for all members of your community during the 17-day Early Voting period.

STEP #2: ATTEND YOUR COUNTY BOE MEETING

Attend the Edgecombe County Board of Elections meeting on Tuesday, August 16, at 5 p.m. where you can make your voice heard in person in favor of a robust 17-day plan for Early Voting. The board meets at 201 St Andrew St., Rm 434, Tarboro 27886. Click here to let us know you’ll be there *and* don’t forget to call and verify the meeting location, date and time before you attend at 252-641-7852.

We just scored a major victory for voting rights in North Carolina. Keep the momentum going – the time to act for Early Voting is now.

Thank you,
Marques Thompson

Red light for Greenlight Court rules against municipal broadband in Pinetops

A federal court on Wednesday put the kibosh on high-speed internet access in Pinetops through Wilson’s Greenlight Community Broadband.

“Quite naturally, we were disappointed,” said Pinetops Town Administrator Lorenzo Carmon. “We believe Pinetops deserves to have high-quality internet access, and that is what Greenlight provided, so we’ll have to wait and see how this all pans out.”

The 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals handed down the ruling Wednesday, but the case was argued in March — one month before Pinetops got the figurative and literal Greenlight for broadband services. Since starting service in the small Edgecombe County town, about 200 customers have signed up, so the judgment puts their presence on the information superhighway in question. (Wilson Times)

Whig-TV Is The Source That It Shinning Negative About Rocky Mount NC Twice A Day!

WHIG-TV Morning Show is about as ignant as it gets.

Since I can not see the show live in the morning from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM I sometimes look at it being rebroadcasted on the same night at 11:00 PM – 1:00 AM.

Today August 10, 2016 show broadcasted at live at Don Bulluck Chevrolet and also sponsored by Church on the Rise. How do these folk support such a mess? These 2 guys (white) are up here talking about the Edgecombe County Public Schools meeting held on Monday night and these guys have no clue about what they are talking about. And then Rev. Roosevelt Higgs (black) called in and told them if they played the meeting from a meeting in Rocky Mount on last Thursday that it would answer their question. Well since the WHIG-TV recorded the meeting why did he need to call them. I videoed the same meeting matter of a fact I was a co-sponsor of the meeting. The meeting referred to is the Save Our Schools Education Forum Rocky Mount NC.

Higgs is the same one that went after Rocky Mount City Councilman Andre Knight residency years ago and the county ended up getting sued over his ignance. WHIG-TV played a major role trying to get Knight removed. See NC Court Of Appeals Rules in Knight’s Favor.

These guys are trying to scare folk about Safelite leaving and damn fools talking about like Obama you looking for hope. When folk call in and say it is nothing that people could do to keep Safelite here. But they talking about the leaders need to come together and get talk about stopping the bleeding. How ignant!

Folk tune and see just how ignant The Morning Show is watch at either of the times mentioned above.

I wonder how much longer will the good folk of Rocky Mount allow this station to continue to run the city down?

Black Lives Matter But Don’t Get It Twisted

As I am about to meet with some folk next week to put a Black Lives Matter Forum together in the local area, this following is one of the reasons why I have been and continue to be actively engaged in what is going on around me. So many times things get twisted and my role is to make sure folk know where I stand.

I have no problem with folk making comments about anything but when their comments include what I do, then I will make sure it is clear where I stand on issues. However it should already be clear because it is written (my blog and other social media sites) including videos that I do so folk will know just what I do.

I was feeling bad sinus draining so had went to sleep around 6 PM and woke up around midnight and ran across a facebook post and I had to respond. I was just responding to them ignant racist white folk over at WHIG-TV who continues to attempt to mislead folk about what is going on in the Twin Counties.

And then I ran across the following about a young black male who was killed by a vehicle. I understand that someone had called 911 and told them they thought they had hit a deer but then I understand the next day a body was discovered along the highway. I responded to the following:

What has Black Lives Matter got to do with this situation? I have heard bits and pieces about someone got killed on Hwy 42 and I heard the name Dickens but to find out after a whole 24 hours went by nearly that it was a Diggins. It was out that it was a cousin of mines but then I find out it was not him.

Someone asked me about the situation at work yesterday and I was unclear about the situation and asked them again as I was leaving. Just by accident I ran up on some folk talking about the situation when I got to Pinetops. Confirmation.

Then I began to make some phone calls to find out exactly who and had them to send me a photo. I found out information about what suppose to have happened and what the word was on the street. But since I am not in the circle of friends connected to the deceased, I don’t know what the situation was surrounding the accident.

But what I do know is I talked to someone close to the deceased and that was all I could do and I don’t know anything else I can do. What I do know is folk know they can call me if they feel like I can be a resource to them.

Back to Black Lives Matter. What tickles the hell out of me is when folk use stuff like that when it is convenient for them because for me if Black Lives Matter to them when something happens to their family friends, what about when they see them headed down the wrong path. Nope lots of times folk hang out with folk knowing the life they are living but don’t encourage them to do better but as soon as soon as something happens, they are all about them. I look at comments made by some of my family.

Help me to understand what need to be done about this situation that need to be compared to coming together because it is done when the white man kill black folk and the police kill black folk? I have been actively engaged in fighting for black folk since the late 80’s and I haven’t seen numerous of folk out here helping me fight so I take stuff like this to heart so it can help me further do what I have been doing over the years.

However I know what time it is and really don’t need any direction from folk because I live in the real world and know the black side, white side and I know how much my black life matter. First of all I make sure others know how much it matter because I am out here fighting for other black folk the young and the elderly. I chose to do this in the late 80’s by joining Black Workers For Justice, NAACP and numerous other organizations not because I had a problem like folk do when they get in trouble. I have attended school board meetings and all other meetings in the county but also numerous meetings across the state fighting for folk.

When there were crime in the local area, family and and non family I was there. When the flood came I was fighting for folk to get back to situated.

I am just stating my ignant comment because for those who don’t know where I stand on the Black Lives Matter issue be they black or white, All Lives Don’t Matter Until Black Lives Matter and it begin with individuals.

I Needed Somebody to Hope Me: An Update on the Moral Revival by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II

When I was growing up in Eastern North Carolina, I used to love to sit in my grandmama’s kitchen and listen to her sing as she made dinner. Whenever she was done cooking, she’d give me a plate to eat. Then she and some of the other sisters from the church would make up some to-go plates and, with their aprons still on, head out the door to visit the sick and shut-in. “We going to hope somebody,” Grandmama would say.

For years, I thought Grandmama’s grammar was bad. I studied my lessons in English class and knew that hope wasn’t a verb. I didn’t dare correct Grandmama, but I knew better than to say I was going to hope somebody.

Years later, after I’d gone to graduate school and read the great theologians, I woke up one morning and couldn’t move. My doctors told me I’d never walk again. There was nothing they could do to help me. (Patheos)

New leader takes helm of Communities in Schools – Rocky Mount Telegram

The Watch Dog response: Congratulations SouthWest Edgecombe Alumni Class of 82. I know you will do well.

Communities in Schools of the Rocky Mount Region has a new leader at the helm as the new school year approaches and the reach of the program is set to expand under her leadership.

Dorothy L. Hinton has been at the helm of Communities in Schools of the Rocky Mount Region since July 1. Hinton replaced Sherron Deal as executive director of the organization. However, Hinton has been involved in the efforts of Communities in Schools for several years, both as a staff member and a volunteer. (Rocky Mount Telegram)

Rocky Mount NC – City Council Vote Tonight Was For The Approval To Send Out Request For Proposals For Financing For The Downtown Community Facility

Council Agenda on the Rocky Mount City’s website Item 13 was for approval to send out Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for financing for the Downtown Community Facility. It does NOT authorize moving forward with the project.

So why do Whig-TV and the Community Council continue to send out information attempting to mislead folk about what the city is doing at different times during the process. There is a need to vote during stages of the process. It appears that 6 of the 7 councilmembers support the center and they are waiting diligently for the city staff to do all the homework needed to make it happen. Check out the 2 pages and see what they are saying.

The vote tonight was unanimous however W.B. Bullock did not vote.

I understand that only one person showed up and spoke against this item tonight. I understand that Mr. Tom Betts who was originally against the DCF at the start but has been supporting the project for sometime now.

Don’t get caught up in the misleading information being presented so check out all the sources me included when you see information being spread about what is going on as it relates to the DCF. If I am incorrect on my information, I will make necessary corrections. It is the intent of Dancy Communications The DCN News Blog Online TV to share the facts. I stand to be corrected.

Richard Groves: Preachers and politics

The Watch Dog response: I feel churches should be able to be political. I strongly believe this was set up for the black church to not be vocal. But that is just my ignant opinion.

The parade of speakers at the Republican and Democratic national conventions was awesome — a former president, the current president and first lady, assorted politicians, sports figures and entertainers. And two of the most popular speakers, with their bases, at least, were — preachers?

The Rev. Mark Burns and the Rev. William Barber had delegates to their respective conventions on their feet chanting and shouting.

But no sooner had they completed their hour upon the stage than social media began lighting up with questions about (a) the legality of religious figures participating in partisan politics and (b) the propriety of doing so.

The Rev. Mark Burns, pastor of the Harvest Praise and Worship Center in Easley, S.C., and cofounder of NOW, a Christian television network, offered the benediction on the first evening of the RNC and spoke on the last evening. (As a surrogate, Burns spoke when Donald Trump visited Winston-Salem recently.) (Winston Salem Journal)
