Washington, DC – Congressman G. K. Butterfield (D-NC) made the following statement regarding the President’s speech to a joint session of Congress:

“I believe that the President is on the right track, and I am pleased with his proposal to make crucial investments in education and infrastructure; investments that must not be delayed. The American Jobs Act will create jobs, provide a much needed jolt to our ailing economy and provide small businesses and hardworking Americans with the tools they need to compete in the 21^st century economy.”
