RACE Becoming A Non-issue? Never!!

In re: Woodard Beats The Odds by Rev. Alonzo Braggs–Source: Wilson Times Column

When will people stop fooling themselves that RACE will become a non-issue. Never ever!! What was good about this election is that blacks and whites worked together to get Woodard elected (twice). What tickles the heck out of me is if RACE is going to become a non-issue then that Farmer guy and his supporters would not have switched parties to challenge Woodard who became the Sheriff Elect during the May Primary. It is so sad that the Rev. Alonzo Braggs pointed out some history and he is rejoicing in it and the haters have a problem with it. Why didn’t Farmer just wait 4 years and run against Woodard? Because obviously he was in denial when the people spoke and said they were tired of the old guards. So obviously Farmer didn’t get it because the old guards included him. Well I guess it has sunk in now.

Nearly-flawless Bruins oust SouthWest 36-28–Source: Wilson Times

Avenging a 14-0 regular-season loss to their Eastern Plains Conference rival, the Bruins, the No. 4 seed in the East pod, scored on five of its first six possessions and senior quarterback Wesley Johnson connected on his first 12 passes. Beddingfield clicked to the extent it added either a kicked extra point or a two-point conversion after each touchdown. (Read more)

The tone was set at the very start of the game and I knew it was going to be a long cold night. The Bruins looked good from the start and all they had to do was to keep doing what they did and they did.

Just don’t know what happened to the Cougars because towards the end of the season they began to create a lot of penalties and that was not good.

My son and I left the game during the 3rd quarter because we were cold and I was going to work. Now on to videoing high school basketball and my son made the middle school squad so it is ballgames 4 days a week for me when basketball season kick in. Oh well! C. Dancy II – DCN Publisher
