Westberg And I Assume His Lawyer/s Have Gone And Public Meeting Was Called To Order. Now The Board Is In Closed Session Again.

It appears that the earlier meeting included John Westberg former Principal of SouthWest Edgecombe High School who was moved to North Edgecombe High School as a Dean of Students and I assume his lawyer/s. They have gone.

The public meeting was called to order around 8:20 PM. The board

Item (2) the board approved budget amendments for this year.

Item (3) the board approved the reduction of Principals Assistants from 11 months to 10 months and that will save over $77,000. Teacher assistants from 10 months to 9 months and that will save over $44,000. These changes will take place on July 1, 2011.

So now I am waiting for them to go back into open session.

You Have Time To Get Here!! Board Meeting Running Behind Schedule, Suppose To Have Started At 6:30 PM. Obviously They Are Still In The Personnel Hearing.

I have been here at the central office since 6:15 PM and the regular scheduled meeting suppose to have began at 6:30 PM. The Personnel Hearing supposedly had began at 4:30 PM.

I wonder who the hearing is about? Is it about John Westberg former Principal of SouthWest Edgecombe High School who was removed from the school over a testing probe. He is stationed at North Edgecombe High School as a Dean of Students.

Word on the street is Westberg is fighting and possibly trying to sue Edgecombe County Public Schools.

Edgecombe County Public Schools Staff Will Find Out If They Will Have A Job Tonight. See You At The Meeting.

It appears that Edgecombe County Public Schools will vote on the final budget for the 2011-12 school year. However keep in mind that although they vote tonight, things could change teachers/staff could possibly be called back after the NC General Assembly votes on their final budget.

Well the time has also come for teachers and staff to find out if they will have a job and/or if their time will be cut back.

There is atleast one school South Edgecombe that do not have a principal for the next school year at this time so maybe the principal will be named on tonight.

Rumor has it that Diane LeFiles whose position has been eliminated may be staying on in another position.

Rumor has that Sandra Jones may not have a job because it was said there are too many blacks in the Central Office and that the person who wants Jones gone has already named a person that she wants to see fill her position.

Tonight’s meeting should be very interesting.

I hope to see all the folks who claim to be interested in Edgecombe County Public Schools. It is time for these folks to put up or shut the hell up and stop coming out when it is about their own personal agenda. So I am asking you to start tonight get involved, show up and let the Superintendent and especially the board know that you are concerned about what is best for our children.
