imageResponse: Don’t understand why they thought they would win anyway. This was just crazy as heck to continue to appeal this case instead of admitting to a mistake had taken place. It is sad that some folks allow emotions to get in the way of following policies and procedures.

TARBORO — Edgecombe County lost its appeal in Edgecombe County Superior Court to terminate Marva Scott as director of the department of social services.

The loss perhaps brings an end to the saga between the county and Scott that began on Dec. 19, 2011 when she was placed on administrative leave for 30 days. Scott was never called back and was issued a termination letter Feb. 23, 2012. While the county continued its fight, a judge ruling ordered her back to work December 2012. (More)
