Homegoing Celebration For Rev. Dr. Elbert Lee Rocky Mount NC

My condolences goes out to the entire family of the late Rev. Dr. Elbert Lee, Rocky Mount NC.

Dr. Lee was the Pastor of North End Missionary Baptist Church for around 40 plus years and also Pastor of Perry’s Chapel in Louisburg NC. He was President of the Rocky Mount Branch of the NAACP for around 40 plus or minus years as well. I joined the Rocky Mount Branch of the NAACP under his leadership in 1993 and worked with him in the capacity of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vice President and on the executive committee up until the early 2000’s when he decided not to run for President again but served on the executive committee for several years after then. Dr. Lee was a hard hitter and fought for injustice trying to make Rocky Mount a better place to live, work and play.
