Rocky Mount NC – Brown appointed new District Court judge

Gov. Bev Perdue has selected Rocky Mount attorney Tony Brown to replace former District Court Judge Robert Evans, a representative from Brown’s office confirmed this morning. (Rocky Mount Telegram)

Sources say the Governor appointed Attorney Tony Brown to District Court Judge filling the unexpired term of former Judge Robert Evans whom were recently appointed to his new post as the first black District Attorney east of HWY 95. D.A. Evans filled the unexpired term of former District Attorney Howard Boney who resigned his post.
