Housing board appointee is in midst of eviction process

The DCN News Blog Online TV response: See this is the type of folk that Republicans like to get to do their dirty work, those whom come with baggage. It was all over the papers a couple of years ago when Pittman’s business CoolGeeks was evicted by the city from the Douglas Block. Now here we go again. Mayor Sandy Roberson says it is news to him. Pittman owes $7,000 in back rent, according to the eviction complaint.

Property owner Jeffrey Speight said he wanted Pittman out of his building, but he didn’t want to comment any further.

"We’re going to court," Speight said.

The court date is set for the end of the month.

The property is managed by Chambliss and Rabil. A message left at the office of Jimmy Rabil wasn’t returned by deadline for this story.

Pittman said he is trying to . . . (Read more)
