Appeals court stays vaccine mandate on larger businesses

The Political Agitator’s response: Not a surprise because one thing Trump did was to put judges in place.

NEW ORLEANS — A federal appeals court on Saturday temporarily halted the Biden administration’s vaccine requirement for businesses with 100 or more workers.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted an emergency stay of the requirement by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration that those workers be vaccinated by Jan. 4 or face mask requirements and weekly tests.

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said the action stops Democrat President Joe Biden "from moving forward with his unlawful overreach.”

"The president will not impose medical procedures on the American people without the checks and balances afforded by the constitution,” said a statement from Landry, a Republican.

Such circuit decisions normally apply to states within a district — Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, in this case — but Landry said the language employed by the judges gave the decision a national scope.

“This is a great victory for the American people out there. Never before has the federal government tried in a such a forceful way to get between the choices of an American citizen and their doctor. To me that’s the heart of the entire issue,” he said.

The Biden administration had no immediate comment.

At least 27 states filed lawsuits challenging the rule in several circuits, some of which were made more conservative by the judicial appointments of former Republican President Donald Trump.

The Biden administration has been encouraging widespread vaccinations as the quickest way to end the pandemic that has claimed more than 750,000 lives in the United States. (Read more)

  1. I voted for President Biden, but I be dam if I’m going to be force to get something injected in me that there is no transparency into what is in the vaccine. No to me this is not political but my right to choose if I want medical treatment or not. But like I’ve been telling others you still must practice your PPE if you don’t want the shot.
Brother: I’ve done my research on vaccines and how they are manufactured, also talk to nurses that I use to work with and Doctor’s and Scientists who is aware of the process. Conspiracy theories I don’t for knowledge and one’s who have no clue what is coming off their lips. It’s way more to all of this that I can’t put in this post. There are differences in points why some don’t want the shot, but mine and I do believe others like me did our home work.
Please feel free to respond at you will.
    Peace and Blessings.

    • Please explain, ” no transparency into what is in the vaccine.”
No to me this is not political
Me: This was made political when Trump was in office.
but my right to choose if I want medical treatment or not.

I understand your right but COVID is a pandemic that one can give to others so like other pandemics and/or virus that can be transmitted to others there comes a time when a mandate is necessary and the right thing to do.

I’ve done my research on vaccines and how they are manufactured,

Me: So the FDA didn’t do their research and they just approved it?

also talk to nurses that I use to work with 5. and Doctor’s and Scientists who is aware of the process.

Me: I am not going to respond to these folk you mention because they could have underlying reasons why they are against the vaccination and it could be because they are Trump supporters and/or just don’t like Biden for some reason.

I ain’t challenging anyone on their opinion that is not based on facts that I can examine.

Conspiracy theories I don’t for knowledge and one’s who have no clue what is coming off their lips. It’s way more to all of this that I can’t put in this post.

Me: See that is a problem. If you have more send it to me via email cdancyii@embarqmail.com.

There are differences in points why some don’t want the shot, but mine and I do believe others like me did our home work.

Me: Well others do their homework as well, I know I do.

But like I’ve been telling others you still must practice your PPE if you don’t want the shot.

And for me I have seen too many cases locally, statewide and other especially folk that I know that have had COVID and survived and those who didn’t.

I can think for myself and base my opinion and decisions on what I do after looking at the pros and the cons.

Thank you for your response and I look for your response to my response to your comment.
