FAYETTEVILLE — To get to their final destination — the state championship — the West Craven Eagles have to first get past a team that’s knocked them out of the state playoffs the past two seasons.

The Eagles (29-1), the Coastal 3A Conference regular-season and tournament champions, are set to tangle with the Rocky Mount Gryphons (24-3) in Wednesday’s 3A Eastern Regional semifinals at the Crown Coliseum. (More)
