Tarboro NC – Listen To Audio Of This Police Stop, Should Law Enforcement Officers Call Black Folk And Other Folk By Their Names And Not Refer To Them As MFs?

Mzz Mello Hinton shared the following Videos on her Facebook page about a traffic stop in Tarboro NC last night Friday September 12, 2020.

I do not support criminal activity at any level so don’t get it twisted because I promote Black Lives Matter. I do not promote bad Law Enforcement Officers but I support Law Enforcement. I ain’t even entertaining that Blue Lives Matter B.S. because I support Good Law Enforcement so if you say Law Enforcement Officers Lives matter then I can say that. But Blue Lives Matter ain’t for me because wearing a Blue Uniform versus my being a Black Man is not comparable. Plus Blue Lives Matter is not a damn body. All LEO’s do not wear Blue. What LEO’s wear Blue Uniforms? I’ll wait!

I don’t know what happened on this traffic stop and only speaking to what I heard in the audio. This type of mentality should not be allowed and any LEO who act out of their profession need to be reprimanded. Hell he called him a MF but I bet he wanted to call him a Nigger.

I am already having an issue with the Tarboro Police Chief crossing the line with his Facebook post, “Tarboro NC – Police Chief Jesse Webb Crossed The Line Comparing His Police Work With Entertainment of NBA Players Who Boycotted On Wednesday.” Read it for yourself.

I don’t have a relationship with Tarboro Police Chief however I do have one with Pinetops and the Edgecombe County Sheriff. They know I will hold them accountable for their actions so this ain’t just about Tarboro. Also I hold all folk accountable for their actions being that I am a Community and Political Activist.

This how TPD talk/treat black young boys WHO ARE NOT under arrest.

Response To Chief Jesse Webb Tarboro Police Department

I have been trying to figure out what in the hell happened to the original conversation about the original post because I have a problem with the play of words that was used from start to finish. I am going to fast forward to the end which should be the damn end of discussion.

Now I would love to see another removal either voluntarily or removal by the Tarboro Council.

Now the following:

Upon further reflection, I think that the best thing for me to do is to stick with what I know best…….law enforcement.

But Chief you should have thought about that before you did the post. You crossed the damn line.

I will not judge them, I will not expect perfection from them, and I will not get angry and throw a tantrum because of my lack of understanding for what they must endure.

But Chief you not only judged athletes but you insulted the hell out of them.

Rather, I will do exactly what I am called to do, PROTECT and SERVE the citizens of this great nation.

But Chief they are doing what the hell they are called to do. They are professionals in what they do and that is why it is called the NBA.

I will do so without malice, bias, or prejudices against any person, race, ethnicity, or creed, as I have always done.

But Chief you did all of that in the post and you can fix it up however the hell you please but I have a problem with it. We all know the majority of the players are Black and that is and has been a problem when the trend went from a majority White to Black. That is and has been a problem because damn the rules were changed in college to try to change the trend but that failed.

I will not judge all professional athletes based upon the actions of a few.

But Chief what do you mean by this? The actions of a few that protested or what are you saying because the issue with what happened was to protest in response to the murder of the Black guy by the police in Wisconsin.

And when they are in need, I will be there to help.

But Chief really? Why in the hell should I accept you have my back when you have made such a statement during a time of brother being killed by a person in your field?

I’ve committed to these principles because that is who I am, and because that is the difference between being essential and non-essential. It is my purpose, and I will follow it!

But Chief I sure hope you are committed in your heart because I damn sure do not see it in your actions. You say who you are but what you posted is what I see and also with my knowledge of what has been and based on the reports I have heard about your department, it is functioning but it is not where it ought to be. I am talking about from policing to the Blacks in command.

So, you can disregard my boycott. I’ll continue to serve, in my own lane, based upon the premise of a better tomorrow and the possibility of positively IMPACT the life of another! I hope and pray many others will do the same.

But Chief I can not disregard your boycott because you crossed the line and should have stayed in your lane.

But Chief you said a lot of stuff in this post and for me it is unacceptable at a time when Law Enforcement is under scrutiny and you have done nothing but put fuel on the fire.

But Chief it is not okay to take the NBA moment to show that they are concerned about what is going on across America as it relates to police shooting Black folk.

But Chief as a Black man I support Law Enforcement because I know all of them are not bad but your post didn’t address the issue at hand police shootings but you made it about the damn NBA players who have not committed a crime. Damn they didn’t burn down or tear up anything but sent a message in a peaceful protest or as you stated Boycott.

But Chief if this had been the Sheriff of Edgecombe County the whole conversation would be different.

But Chief when the Sheriff and others were seeking more money for them do you speak up?

But Chief when your Department need back up who do you call?

But Chief when the Sympathy March was held did the Edgecombe County Sheriff Office get called to the table for the planning?

But Chief why did you have other Police Departments to come to Tarboro on that Sunday?

But Chief you need to take the weekend and think about what you did with this post and report back how you crossed the line and what you feel you should do to send a message to little Black Boys and Girls that it is okay to be good at what you do be it sports or law enforcement but not limited to.

But Chief what Sports and Law Enforcement have atleast one thing in common and that is discipline. Sports is about discipline and so is Law Enforcement.

Now for anyone who have a problem with me let me set the damn record straight. I have been a community and political activist since the late 80’s. I have been actively engaged in the Edgecombe County Democratic Party since the late 80’s. I have been actively engaged in the Edgecombe County NAACP since 1992 and I am a Life Fully Paid Member and 2nd Vice President. I am the Legal Redress Chair.

I hold folk accountable for their actions and tell folk to hold me accountable for my actions as well.

This is what I do.

And the following can help you understand just a little bit more about me as well not mentioning I have been blogging for many years now.

Tarboro NC – Police Chief Jesse Webb Crossed The Line Comparing His Police Work With Entertainment of NBA Players Who Boycotted On Wednesday

Again more damn ignance!

As Law Enforcement you are crossing the line.

This is a total 360 from the Unity Walk

I don’t watch the NBA but I follow and support Good Law Enforcement and to compare NBA and your title as a Chief of Police is just ludicrous.

This is a Racist Post!

This is about Black Professional Athletes and conversations about Black Folk getting shot by Police.

Why in the hell would a Law Enforcement Officer post some mess like this.

But when and if Tarboro Citizens should stage a boycott I am going to see how you respond to that.

And for anyone who like this post especially Black Folk you got some serious issues when it comes to Race Relations. But all of you got time to get it right!

But this is what we are dealing with that damn Trump Disease.

The citizens of Tarboro but not limited to ought to be outraged!

THE BOYCOTT IS OFFICIAL!

After having a meeting with myself, I have decided to boycott my position and responsibilities as a law enforcement officer until certain demands are met.

First, considering the multi-million-dollar salaries of most “professional” athletes, the price of admission, and the time spent (or wasted) attending these events for entertainment purposes, I do not believe that the fans are receiving the services they deserve and pay for. So, I am putting the following organizations on notice with the expectation that they are able to meet my demands without further delay.

To the players of the NBA, the ability to place a basketball through a hoop with the aid of a backboard is simply too easy. And yet, you are still unable to sink every basket. You can’t even sink every basket when allowed to shoot a free-throw without the pressure of defense. I cannot understand why you are not able to accomplish this, especially considering your unimaginable salary and level of expertise and the fact that you have a referee making sure that your opponent doesn’t assault, I mean foul you thereby giving you time to make your perfect shot. So moving forward, I demand that the backboard be removed, that the players make every basket every time (100% shooting), and that referees be banned in order to make this a full contact sport at any given moment. Until this happens, I will no longer serve and protect the citizens of this great nation!

To the players of MLB, the ability to strike a baseball with a bat or throw a perfect strike every time should be relatively easy considering your salaries and constant training regiments. Yet, pitchers are still not able to always throw within the strike zone on every pitch and batters are not able to hit the ball every time even when it is in the strike zone. And this occurs despite the complete lack of pressure or defense from an opponent. And what about the outfield wall? I feel this should be moved further out because you are not reaching the full potential of your abilities. Whatever the longest home run on record is, let’s establish that as a standard distance for all games, teams, and players. So, until every pitch is a strike, until every pitched ball is hit, and until the outfield wall is positioned at an appropriate distance, I will no longer serve and protect the citizens of this great nation!

I know, this sounds rather ridiculous considering that I am not a professional basketball or baseball player. But these are my demands! I further demand that I not be fired from my position, be held responsible for the crime that happens as a result of my boycott, or be judged for expecting perfection and total agreement from professional athletes. After all, you are working within a completely controlled environment, you have the opportunity to train more than you play, and you are VERY well compensated for your efforts. I simply cannot understand why you have not reached perfection despite the fact that you are human.

On second thought, maybe I will simply ask God to forgive us for trying to remove the splinter from the eye of another while being blinded by the plank in our own eye. Maybe I should remember that I am not a professional basketball or baseball player and therefore have not walked a mile in their shoes or experienced the difficulties of their profession. Maybe I should recognize that I don’t understand the discipline and training it takes to be a professional athlete, or the sacrifice they may have to endure. Maybe I should remember that I don’t live that lavish lifestyle and can’t imagine the pressure they must be under to make a basket, throw a strike, or hit a baseball.

Upon further reflection, I think that the best thing for me to do is to stick with what I know best…….law enforcement. I will not judge them, I will not expect perfection from them, and I will not get angry and throw a tantrum because of my lack of understanding for what they must endure. Rather, I will do exactly what I am called to do, PROTECT and SERVE the citizens of this great nation. I will do so without malice, bias, or prejudices against any person, race, ethnicity, or creed, as I have always done. I will not judge all professional athletes based upon the actions of a few. And when they are in need, I will be there to help. I’ve committed to these principles because that is who I am, and because that is the difference between being essential and non-essential. It is my purpose, and I will follow it!

So, you can disregard my boycott. I’ll continue to serve, in my own lane, based upon the premise of a better tomorrow and the possibility of positively IMPACT the life of another! I hope and pray many others will do the same.

Tarboro NC – So One Day Defines True Leadership

Damn was the sympathy for Tarboro Police or George Floyd and the others who have been killed recently by police? Asking for me!

So one day defines true leadership? Really!

Edgecombe County is majority Black.

Covid-19 and George Floyd have both shown me where people mindsets are be they Black, Brown, White and other especially Pastors, Police, Rescue and citizens. Now I know folk and already knew but in this season others received confirmation from what I have been saying.

I have been told that Edgecombe County Sheriff Office were not invited to the meeting for the planning of protest today. Now who in Edgecombe County is more prepared for protesting than Sheriff Clee Atkinson who have worked for Republican Governor Pat McCrory and current Democratic Governor Roy Cooper.

I understand that the majority of the officers present were Caucasians and I also heard that some were from Nashville Police Department.

Where was the real agenda today in Tarboro?

How many Blacks hold command staff positions under Chief Jesse Webb watch?

I wonder what is in place when hiring LEOs that have left the Sheriff Office and hired by Tarboro Police Department.

Where was the conversation about the Confederate Monument/s in Tarboro NC?

Can someone please tell me how this sympathy walk corresponds with addressing Police Brutality/Murders across the nation?

Did not this sympathy walk come out of someone asking why Tarboro didn’t have a march like Rocky Mount did on last Sunday? Rocky Mount met at the Confederate Monument and then they demanded that the Confederate Monument be removed from the current location.

The following was posted on Social Media and as I read it I was trying to figure out what was accomplished today. So where are the photos of the community?

However the moment should not be about photo-ops and pretty words but should be about a movement.

I am going to see how many folk march down to the Tarboro City Council meeting on Monday June 8 to hold the councilmembers accountable and to demand that certain things are asked to be put in place especially when it comes to the Police Department and other. There should have been a resolution put in place to be delivered.

I’ll wait!

TRUE example of leadership.

*****YOU ARE AWESOME*****

Absolutely incredible!! Never have I been more proud to serve the men and women of the Tarboro Police Department, the extraordinary citizens of Tarboro, and our community! Today’s “Sympathy Walk with a Commitment to Change” was an opportunity to foster unity, comfort the afflicted, and begin the healing process for mending broken wounds. I am deeply humbled by the overwhelming show of support that was extended to our men and women in uniform and equally humbled by the cries for change associated with a criminal justice system that is obviously broken. For those who listened to my brief comments earlier, your voice is being heard and we are committed to helping create the positive change that is so desperately needed in our Nation.

Realizing that I may be a little bias in my opinions, I have no doubt that Tarboro is well poised to serve as a model for such change well beyond the borders of our community. If you attended today’s event, I feel confident that you will agree with me. With a faith to love and not hate, seeking understanding rather than division, and pursuing equitable accountability for all, there is nothing that can stop us from overcoming the differences that continue to bind us. Today, you showed up, you spoke up, and we united. May we now commit to these same ideals moving forward and put action to word. On behalf of the Tarboro Police Department, I have already made the commitment to create a culture of positive change for all citizens of Tarboro. Will you now join us in doing the same.

What an honor and blessing it is to serve you!

Respectfully,
Chief Jesse Webb

Tarboro Police Photo-Op Where Is The Social Distancing & The Mask?

Curmilus Butch Dancy II

May 28 at 10:50 PM ·

This photo op! I understand the message. This is not about the children but about police sensitivity.

However it would have looked better if it had been some older children at least teenagers .and/or some adult males. Little boys get excited about seeing a police, a fire truck and back when I was growing up a Truck Driver because we would stand by the highway and motion our arms to get them to honk the horn.

I hear about shootings in Tarboro almost daily so I trust and believe that you all are working the streets.

But I am looking at this photo with mixed emotions because this is not social distancing, I can understand the little boys not having on a mask but where is the police masks? You guys come in contact with all kinds of folk on a day to day basis.

How can the police department enforce social distancing when they are not?

I am here to be Educated and to Educate every now and again. Curmilus Butch Dancy II 2020

What happens when you are clearing a traffic stop and kids in a passing car are screaming and waving at you? You scream and wave back! What happens when they circle the block and come back still screaming with excitement? You take a selfie with them!! Thanks for making our day……
