I find it quite interesting that folk are talking about money and how they want unity in Rocky Mount. They don’t want to support the Black Majority Council. They want to control how they are governing. They don’t want to see anything all things Black on the Edgecombe County side of Rocky Mount.
So how much money was spent with Black Businesses during the Mayoral Campaign?
Sandy Claus could have blessed some Black Businesses or did he?
But see who Sandy Claus did bless last year.

CITIZENS FOR SANDY ROBERSON (ROBERSON, SANDY (NASH))
The Political Agitator’s response: I will follow this and if a hearing is granted I plan to attend to.
A Nash County woman has filed two protests with the Edgecombe County Board of Elections challenging Bronson Williams’ right to run in the Rocky Mount mayoral election.
Joyce Arnette Jones, who lives in Ward 5 of Rocky Mount in Nash County, filed the two protests on Friday with the Edgecombe County Board of Elections. Yes the Mayoral Race is a Non-Partisan Race but that is by design just like Judge Races.
Bronson Williams is a Democrat.
Sandy Claus Roberson is a Republican.
So therefore both are connected to a particular party because neither is registered as Unaffiliated.
So the Non-Partisan B.S. means Ab so damn lute ly Nothing!
How much will money matter in the Rocky Mount Mayoral runoff?
The most recent North Carolina State Board of Elections reports show Rocky Mount Mayoral candidate, Sandy Roberson spend $244,088.84 in his bid for mayor and received 4,718 votes that means he spent $51.74 per vote. The most recent financial report for his opponent in the upcoming runoff, Bronson Williams, was not posted on the North Carolina State Board of Elections website. However, given the campaign Mr. Williams ran, I doubt if his expenditures per vote are at that level. The challenge, in the runoff is for Rocky Mount voters to send the message as to whether or not elections can be bought.
