Rudy Giuliani Tells His Party To Stop Blocking Loretta Lynch’s Nomination – HuffPost

WASHINGTON — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) said Friday that Loretta Lynch is an “extraordinary” nominee for U.S. attorney general, and called on Senate Republicans to stop holding up her confirmation vote.

In a call with reporters, Giuliani said he is a “very dedicated Republican” and doesn’t always agree with President Barack Obama. But he does think that a president should be able to get his or her appointees confirmed by the Senate.

“The confirmation process has been really tremendously distorted. … It’s become Republicans torture Democrats, Democrats torture Republicans. Who started it, God knows,” he said. “But as a Republican and looking at the Constitution, I find Loretta Lynch not only to be an acceptable appointment, but I find her to be an extraordinary appointment.” (Source: Read more)

Barbara Boxer Shreds Giuliani: Go Ask Bin Laden If Obama ‘Loves America’

The Political Agitator response: These ignants will continue to do anything they possibly can to attempt to discredit this black man. Damn shame!

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) responded late Monday to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s accusation that President Barack Obama doesn’t “love America” by highlighting his administration’s accomplishments, including the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Giuliani and many other prominent Republicans have faulted Obama for refusing to call the Islamic State terror group ‘Islamic.’ The retiring senator took a shot across the bow at the ex-mayor in a tweet reminding him that the Obama administration was responsible for finally taking out the elusive al-Qaeda leader: (Source: Read more)

Rudy Giuliani: Bill De Blasio Should Apologize To NYPD – HuffPost

The Political Agitator response: Mayor Bill de Blasio has sent a strong message across the nation that one should stand for right. I support his actions.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani urged Mayor Bill de Blasio to apologize to the New York Police Department for “[creating] the impression” that he sided with protesters over law enforcement during recent protests over the deaths of unarmed black men at the hands of police officers.

In an interview with CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Giuliani condemned police for turning their backs on de Blasio during the funeral for Rafael Ramos, one of two NYPD officers who were shot dead in their squad car by an assailant who had posted on social media about targeting police. Giuliani: ‘White police officers wouldn’t be there if you weren’t killing each other.’ – The Washington Post

The Political Agitator response: “Black people who kill black people go to jail,” Dyson said. “White people who are policemen who kill black people do not go to jail.” So twist that!

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani faced immediate Web backlash Sunday morning after he asked why people protest the killing of unarmed Ferguson, Mo., teenager Michael Brown but not black-on-black crime.

“Ninety-three percent of blacks are killed by other blacks,” Giuliani said, triggering a heated argument on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I would like to see the attention paid to that that you are paying to this.”

Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson, a frequent MSNBC pundit, said Giuliani was applying a “false equivalency” to the situation in Ferguson, where a grand jury will soon decide whether to charge Officer Darren Wilson in Brown’s shooting death.

“Black people who kill black people go to jail,” Dyson said. “White people who are policemen who kill black people do not go to jail.”
