Be A Part of History
Join the NC NAACP and the Forward Together Movement on a trip to Selma, Alabama to celebrate and commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday and the Crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge and to sound the charge for the restoration of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
The upcoming battle in the courts to challenge North Carolina’s voter suppression law will be the first since Shelby, the 2013 Supreme Court decision to gut the Voting Rights Act. When the trial starts this summer, North Carolina will be the epicenter of the voting rights struggle of 2015. North Carolina MUST be represented at the Selma Jubilee commemoration.
There is still time to sign up and be a part of this historic event!
