Enjoy the photos and the words that were shared about Chip. This hurts differently than when someone leave us who have not done anything to help better mankind on this level. A voice for the voiceless and for those whom are scared to speak for themselves.
I wanted to officially announce the passing of my father, Richard Smith, on Friday, 2nd of March, at 6:30 pm. He is survived by his wife, Koo Kim Eng, his sons, Nathan Smith, Nate’s fiancee Hallie Goodman, Nicholas Smith, Nick’s wife Nikki Rice Smith, and his grandchildren, Alexander, Dominic, Isabel, and Logan. He passed peacefully surrounded by family. He was well loved by many people in many facets of life, from his progressive work for racial and social justice to his friends in Philadelphia, New York, Fayetteville, Rocky Mount and all across the world. He will be missed, but we plan to celebrate his life with a memorial that will be announced once it has been organized.
Richard T. Smith (Chip)
Condolences goes out to Dr. Kim Koo and the entire family of the late Richard T. Smith (Chip). Wow! I am shocked to learn of this. I was just asking Lewis Turner about them last week. He was a fighter and I appreciate him as I worked with him over the years. He will truly be missed.
