Sharpsburg mayor appeals dismissal of election protest – Rocky Mount NC

Sharpsburg Mayor Robert Williams is appealing the Nash County Board of Elections’ decision to dismiss his protest related to the Oct. 8 municipal election to the N.C. State Board of Elections.

Williams lost by four votes to Randy Weaver in the Sharpsburg mayoral election last month. However, Williams filed an election protest with the county elections board alleging that voter fraud occurred, which he contended cast doubt on the results of the election. (More)
