An assistant superintendent for Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools accused of public drunkenness is due in court at the end of the month.
Leonodus Farrow Jr., 46, of Winterville, was charged by the Greenville Police Department with being intoxicated and disruptive, which is a misdemenor, and being in possession of an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of a motor vehicle, which is an infraction. His court date is set for June 26.
Farrow is accused of cursing and shouting at police officers after a traffic stop on Memorial Drive at 1:15 a.m. May 13.
Farrow — a former principal at Rocky Mount High School — is the assistant superintendent of student placement and intervention. The school system said Farrow reported the arrest to school officials in a timely manner. (Rocky Mount Telegram)
