Greetings,

I hope that my note finds you well and enjoying your day.

I am extending this invitation to you and would like to request that you consider sharing it with students and their families, counselors, and other education professionals.

On Saturday, March 8, 2014 we will be holding our annual College Round-Up event on the Tarboro Campus of Edgecombe Community College. Our programs begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. (The College Round-Up is a program of the Black Heritage Museum & Cultural Center’s Education Division.)

I have included a PDF attachment with event information and details as well as provided a link to online information and free registration below.

Each year for the past twelve years we have held our College Round-Up event in Tarboro, North Carolina and have helped over 2,000 students find their opportunity for a post-secondary education.

All students and their families benefit from interacting with the Colleges, Universities, Community Colleges, and other organizations that will be in attendance. Our break-out sessions provide an opportunity to learn about career preparation, scholarships, and financial aid services. It is an opportunity that should not be missed.

Please share the attached letters and registration forms widely; with your local high schools, teachers, guidance counselors, students, their families, and anyone in your local communities who might need our help and would benefit from attending.

Free, online registration can also be found at https://collegeroundup2014.eventbrite.com/

Our event is free and open to the public. We encourage all high school students, their families, and guidance counselors to attend.

Families, schools, community organizations, faith-based organizations, etc. come together each year to bring car loads and bus loads of students from around the country to Tarboro for our College Round-Up event because of the benefits offered to students and their families.

Also, consider going to our website at www.bhmacc.org, click on the 180 Days In the Life of a School image or the link for it on our website’s College Round-Up page and watch the PBS documentary, our College Round-Up is featured near the very end.

We appreciate you and your support in our effort to share information. I hope to see you or someone you’ve shared this with in attendance. Thank you!

My best regards,

Dianne Valentin
