Breaking News: Deceased Body Found At QVC

I normally don’t put stuff out ahead of time but it is all of over social media and my phone and messenger has had me unable to keep up with them for the past 30 or more minutes.

It is on family, friends and co-workers page that a body has been found at QVC.

Breaking News Nash County Inmates Have COVID

Today I received a call about there were numerous inmates with COVID.

I contacted Nash County to question the validity of the call.

I learned that around 40 inmates in the Nash County Jail have COVID. They are being quarantined however they are trying to get some inmates moved to other facilities.

Nash County folk you don’t want to commit any crimes because you may find yourself in a COVID infested jail.

Pinetops NC – Breaking News: Sources Say Around 4 People Shot & 2 Dead

Sources say around 4 people were shot and 2 dead on East Lashley Street in Pinetops around 2:00 AM this morning.

I heard around 4 or 5 police cars come by my house this morning around that time headed towards Pinetops so that must be where they were headed.

I was told to go to a couple of folk Facebook pages where I seen RIP and at least one person fighting for their life.

It is always sad to receive this type of news.

As of Monday July 15, 2019 somewhere around 20:20 The DCN News Blog Online TV will not just promote you. I will decide if I want to promote you.

Over the years I have promoted folk who have never promoted me be it vocally and/or financially but that’s okay. But from this day forward I am going to look at who you are and if what you do will affect me directly and/or indirectly.

In the past I have reached out to folk and/or they have shared things on my Social Media pages. Some folk have asked me to share their stuff because they know some folk read my pages faithfully.

I have always told folk if you run for an office in Edgecombe/Nash Counties or on the State/National levels that affect me, you need to contact me before you file. Oh you don’t have to because I am just a nobody. However I can either work with you or against you.

I control my pages so if you have a problem with that then that is your problem not mines.

Sources say the Princeville Town Commissioners fired the Town Manager Daniel Geralds today during a special called meeting. I received the meeting notice late this evening but I worked on my real job til 5:30 so I didn’t make it.

Breaking News – A complaint and request for investigation was lodged against NC Democrat Senator Angela Bryant for wrongful non-compliance of SBOE regulation violations

IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

NC DEMOCRAT SENATOR ACCUSED OF NON-COMPLIANCE WITH ELECTION REGULATIONS; AND ALLEGED POSSIBLE ILLEGAL ELECTIONS ACTS AND CONDUCT THAT COULD AFFECT THE OUCOME OF CERTAIN LOCAL COUNTY AND STATEWIDE ELECTIONS.

A complaint and request for investigation was lodged against NC Democrat Senator Angela Bryant for wrongful non-compliance of SBOE regulation violations, and the complaint also alleged possible illegal acts of conduct in violation of NC voter and election Laws.

The African American Caucus of the North Carolina Democratic Party (AACNCDP) filed their complaint based on the acts and conduct of Senator Bryant having created, published and distributed a false/fraudulent document resembling an Official Ballot containing various preselected 2016 candidates targeting African American registered voters in Halifax, Nash and Wilson Counties.

The “complaint and request for investigation” also alleged “Senator Bryant, with the intent and purpose to confuse, discourage, influence (via false endorsements) to suppress the African American votes for the unselected candidates.”

The complainant believes sufficient evidence was submitted as an Exhibit document to cast doubt on the election outcome in Halifax, Nash and Wilson Counties election and/or statewide elections regarding candidates identified on the Ballot published and distributed to the voters, especially the African-American voters which was targeted in the three counties…

The complaint had an attached exhibit document that was alleged to have been distributed….

Butterfield Is Optimistic that Duke Energy Progress’s Move to Purchase NCEMPA Ownership Interest Will Result in Lower Utility Costs

 

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman G. K. Butterfield (NC-01) today released the following statement concerning Duke Energy Progress’s announcement that it is in discussions to buy the North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency’s (NCEMPA) partial ownership of its plants:

 

“I’m pleased to learn that Duke Energy Progress is considering the purchase of a partial ownership interest in plants that provide energy to my congressional district.  The ratepayers in the cities served by NCEMPA have been burdened with high utility costs and trapped in a power deal that requires them to pay more than consumers in other communities.  I have worked tirelessly over the years to find a common sense solution to high utility cost and this announcement brings hope that a deal can be structured that will reduce the cost of utilities for families and businesses in eastern North Carolina.  The merger of Duke Power and Progress Energy results in a new corporate entity that should be capable of purchasing the assets of NCEMPA and restructuring the debt.

 

“I will support a common sense business arrangement that will substantially lower utility costs for consumers and will oppose it if it does not.

 

"I appreciate the willingness of Duke Energy Progress to begin these discussions and pledge to them my support for a meaningful reorganization.”

Breaking News: Princeville NC – SBI investigating spending by Princeville officials – WRAL

Response: It has been a long time coming. Some have been waiting for the investigation to be turned over to the SBI.

Raleigh, N.C. — The State Auditor’s Office on Monday asked local, state and federal authorities to look into the actions of Princeville officials after an audit found improper spending in the Edgecombe County town.

Noelle Talley, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Justice, said the State Bureau of Investigation has opened a case to look into some state-funded construction projects in Princeville at the request of the local district attorney. (More)

Breaking News: Princeville NC – The Princeville 3 Hires A Part-time Worker

Sources say Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates called a Special Meeting last night to be held this morning at 11:00. Some folks were not clear on what the purpose of the meeting would be.

I learned today that the meeting was held as scheduled and the Princeville 3 Mayor Everette-Oates, Mayor Pro-tem Isabelle Purvis-Andrews and Commissioner Calvin Sherrod hired Maggie Boyd the former interim Town Manager to work around 19 hours a week.

Commissioner Gwendolyn Knight attended the meeting and voted against the hiring of Boyd however, Purvis-Andrews and Sherrod voted to hire Boyd. Commissioner Ann Howell was not able to attend the meeting due to having a previous appointment. Knight had an appointment also but was able to make it back to Princeville to the meeting. Although I said the Princeville 3 hired Boyd only Purvis-Andrews and Sherrod voted and Mayor Everette-Oates didn’t have to break the tie this time. However trust me if Howell had been present the Mayor would have voted along with her flunkies.

So why would the Princeville 3 hire Boyd to work part-time? Well! So they can have someone to report to them what is going on in the office since the Local Government Commission (LGC) is there daily. But damn it would have made sense for them to hire someone other than Boyd since she and Knight are tangled up in a “No Contact Order” through the Edgecombe County Courts whereby they are not suppose to be in the presence of each other other than at a Town Meeting. Now this is not good because Knight can’t question Boyd during the Town Meetings although they can be in the same room.

Well the LGC meets tomorrow and just maybe they will send the SBI in to investigate what seems to be some criminal activity going on in Princeville Town Hall. Too bad Congressman G.K. Butterfield’s office do not investigate criminal activity because the Princeville 3 signed a Resolution at the last meeting saying that his office would be investigating any wrongdoings that may have taken place in Princeville dating back to the 1999 flood. The Congressman’s office responded several days later saying that if the town felt that there were some wrong doings that the town need to contact the local authorities to file a complaint.

Can’t wait to see what the next step will be when LGC meets on tomorrow.

Breaking News: Princeville NC – A Special Call Meeting Was Held Today At The Town Hall

Did you know?

Sources say a special call meeting was called today in Princeville saying it was going to be the regular monthly meeting but when the members arrived it was said it was a workshop. However some questioned how was it a workshop when no work was done.

Sources say Maggie Boyd interim Town Manager was suppose to read the  budget statement in full concerning the budget which included a tax increase, water/sewer increase and trash pickup increase. They think the Mayor probably told her not to read that part because everyone would know and scream. I am assuming those who read the paper because they didn’t know about the meeting.

Sources say Boyd was asked what is a debt service and she said it was something they use when the town are in debt. They say she was asked what was the human services line and she said it was for human services.

Sources say citizens and reporters should have gotten a copy if they wanted to be prepared for the public hearing. This way there will be no time to change it.

Sources say the regular monthly meeting has been moved from Monday, July 23, 2012 to Monday July 30, 2012. This is to take care of the 10 day public notice that must happen to present the budget to the citizens.

But what happened to probationary period that began Tuesday July 10 and will end on Tuesday, July 24? I would assume the deadline was set because they were suppose to meet on Monday July 23. Obviously they are asking LGC to move their deadline to Tuesday July 31.

The best thing they could do is to go on with the meeting next Monday July 23 so that they can have another week to deal with issues before July 31. But they think they are so smart.

Citizens of Princeville you better start asking some questions. From what I understand LGC didn’t ask them to do increases but that is something they said they would do on their own.

It looks like the Princeville 3 is in over their damn heads.

So will Victor Marrow file a lawsuit against them for slander? Oh that may be coming soon.

SMDH! – I am still shaking my damn head after attending the Princeville June regular monthly meeting.

I have been trying to be nice but damn tonight just did it. What in the hell is the attorney for?

Someone at the meeting said the Attorney Chuck Watts was in court earlier today for a DWI charge. Also someone questioned why was he driving a vehicle with DOT tags and working for Princeville. Oh well!

The Princeville 3 are now the Princeville 3 D.A.’s. Hell yeah I said it, “Dumb Asses.” It appears that Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates, Commissioners Isabelle Purvis-Andrews and Calvin Sherrod are just dumb as hell. It is sad that they are using this old lady Maggie Boyd the interim town manager to go after Commissioner Gwendolyn Knight. Boyd and Knight have been to court several times and the last time they went to court the D.A. District Attorney dismissed the mess. Boyd is old enough to be the Princeville 3 D.A.’s mother.

The meeting that never was held tonight was very expensive. The lawyer and 3 policemen had to be paid and also the Commissioners. The Chief of Police Joey Pettaway was running around town trying to find the Clerk of Court to get a copy of a restraining order that is on file for Boyd against Knight. It appears that Mayor Everette-Oates is bullying Boyd to try to get Knight arrested. Hell Boyd and the Chief have a copy of the order so what is their damn problem? Obviously the Princeville D.A.’s are trying to bully the Chief to arrest Knight.

Mayor Everette-Oates, Boyd, Purvis-Andrews and the Watts entered the room about 7:10. For some reason Sherrod was sitting out with Commissioners Ann Howell and Gwendolyn Knight as if he was not a part of what was going on in the other room. The Mayor hit the gavel and said she was going to have a 15 minute recess. The Mayor, Boyd and Purvis-Andrews left the room. Later Sherrod left the room but returned long before the others. The Mayors husband was called in the room. I didn’t know he was a commissioner or staff person.

Former Mayor Delia Perkins asked Sherrod what side was he on and he said he was out here wasn’t he? She said that didn’t mean anything. I said leave him alone he is doing good right now but I don’t know about later. Well see how he voted.

After about 45 minutes the Mayor and the others re-entered the room and she hit the gavel again and made her announcement that they were going to do another recess until Thursday 6:00 PM. The vote was a tie so she said she was going to break the tie. So now you know where Sherrod stand in regards to the question that former Mayor Perkins asked him.

Damn nobody was given the opportunity to speak. The meeting was never official because per the Agenda the meeting was not I. Called to order, II. no Invocation and III. Consent Agenda was never approved. There should have been a motion to amend the Agenda but that never happened either.

Now see the video for yourself because they never lied when somebody said a picture is worth a 1000 words or however the hell it goes. Damn the Princeville 3 D.A.’s got me just as ignant as they are. Still SMDH!

Rocky Mount city officials announced Wednesday morning that Wilmington Deputy Police Chief James C. Moore will start Jan. 2 as the new Rocky Mount police chief.
