Press Release

On Tuesday, 09/03/19 at 4:02 PM, the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office was called to Suggs Rd. near Colonial Rd. Upon arrival, they found a female, Christina Hazel Cuthrell (age 31), who told them that her boyfriend had taken their infant child and run into the woods. During the investigation, deputies determined this to be false. A search was performed on Cutthrell’s vehicle and person yielding methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Cuthrell was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Pitt County for Obtaining Property by False Pretense (F) and was charged with Possess Methamphetamine, Possess > ½ oz. Marijuana, and Possess Drug Paraphernalia. She was placed under a $3,500 secured bond.

This release was delayed due to our office’s preparation for Hurricane Dorian. For future media inquiries, please contact Bertina Spragley at bspragley@edgecombeco.com or Lt. Muse at emuse@edgecombeco.com.
