The Political Agitator’s response: Ya’ll better stop lying on Preacher.
Joel Osteen presents himself as a famous pastor trying to uplift others and offer encouragement contrary to the traditional ways of preaching that condemn everything people do in the world… This wouldn’t be a horrible way to try and inspire people, if it weren’t for the way he plays on people’s faith and demands money in return for his useless sermons.
Osteen has offered to pray for others, but there is a price of $20 to $50 for each prayer. He claims that the money will be spent on the church, and that by spending your money there you are pleasing God almight… But the money goes straight into Osteen’s pocket. Becaue he is manipulative and uses people’s faith against them, and to rob them of their own hard earned money. To give you an idea of how much money this rat has stolen from people, here’s a picture of his insanely large house: (Source: Read more)
Black Wall Street has been used to name three different locations: Parrish Street, Durham, North Carolina; Greenwood, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Jackson Ward, Richmond, Virginia. Below are some facts you may not know about the African American business districts.
1. Parrish Street in Durham, North Carolina was known as Black Wall Street in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Its name was patterned after Wall Street in New York City.
2. In the early days before railroads had been built in the area (Durham, North Carolina), agriculture had been the predominant industry apart from a few instances of transporting livestock.
3. The rise of the commercial district in Durham, North Carolina, can be attributed to the efforts of the “Triumvirate” of the Black community or the “black captains of industry”, as described by Booker T. Washington, namely, Charles Spaulding, John Merrick and Dr. Aaron M. Moore who had been responsible for the success of North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance which spearheaded the rise of the financial district. (Source: Read more)
Well whoop the do!
I love it when these folk say they don’t get on Facebook anymore as if it is the worst thing they have ever seen.
Obviously for these folk it was all good when they used Facebook for their time and season but obviously their time and season have ran out. They probably used it to attempt to make them selves out of someone other than who they are, to show off their person be it their body, their clothes and other.
Well if Facebook is used in a positive matter such as educating folk about what is going on with them, sharing positive moments with family and friends and other things that makes sense, then I find Facebook to be a great way to communicate.
Wow! I have connected with family and friends that I have not been in contact with for years. It is good to be able to communicate in real time at the touch of a key.
When I first began using Facebook, I seen it as a tool to reach folk outside of my blog. When I post to my blog it automatically goes to my Facebook page, Twitter, LikedIn and Instagram social media sites.
Since I am still using Facebook for what I started out using it for, I have no problem with it today.
Sometime I see stuff on Facebook and I be saying what? When I see some stuff on Facebook that I feel a need to send the person an instant message, I do just that. Some things don’t need to be on Facebook but it is no different than anything else, you gonna have some good and bad.
One good thing about it all is that at any point and time folk have the right to delete their page, delete their friends and etc. I don’t delete folk unless they become harassers or just post a bunch of filth. I tell folk from time to time to delete me because I am going to say what I mean and mean what I say and if it offend them I understand.
“I have no permanent friends no permanent enemies only permanent interest!”
Some traditions are good and some can be bad!
Ok that that is working for the people, keep it in place. However that which is not working for the good of the people either modify it or get rid of it.
Well I know ya’ll church folk don’t want to talk about the church because you have done it this way because great-granddaddy/ma, granddaddy/ma, daddy/ma and others have done it that way all of these years, but you need to look at how you do things.
Do you have to stay in church all day to get the word?
Do you have to sing a bunch of songs?
Do you have to take up several offerings?
Do the preacher have to preach to you for 1 hour plus?
I am just asking.
The Political Agitator’s response: And folk act as if they don’t understand what black folk have to deal with. You just can’t make all of this stuff up. Police brutality killing black men to police sexual abuse of our black women and we suppose to act as if these things are not real. But the sad part is “they” try to make it appear as if we are all ignant and that we should believe the law over our black men and women although it is clear on video and/or the evidence produce facts. Black folk you better wake the h up! Now don’t get it twisted, yeah we have some black issues and we can talk about them too, but this article is about a police charged with sexual abuse and/or rape. We can talk about it all but don’t leave out the main thang.
Four weeks into the trial of Daniel Holtzclaw, a former Oklahoma City police officer charged with the sexual abuse or rape of 13 different women, the prosecution has drawn a picture of a predator who followed a cynical calculus: because his victims were black, living on the margins, and had criminal histories, he was confident no one would believe them.
Holtzclaw, 28, is said to have methodically targeted black women with criminal records or a history of drug use or sex work for seven months while he worked the 4pm to 2am patrol. For all but one of his alleged victims, police investigators claim, Holtzclaw used his position on the force to run background checks for outstanding warrants or other means by which to coerce sex. It is sad that we have no local radio and/or tv talk shows in the Edgecombe/Nash County area to keep up with weekly news/issues. We used to could hear local radio and/or tv talk show hosts talk about current issues and we could call in.
Since we do not have the radio/tv talk shows we have to rely on the local newspapers to give us a piece of the story in which we do not get the whole picture the majority of the time. I used to go to all of the meetings and record them and post them on The DCN TV so folk could see what really happened at the meetings. I have come to the conclusion that folk don’t appreciate being able to stay at home and be able to see the meetings on their computer while never leaving home. However I am not saying that all folk don’t appreciate it because I would be lying because I run into folk all the time that tell me they appreciate what I do. But the folk in position or the so-called leaders do not appreciate it unless I am promoting them. Well them days are over. I will not support nor promote folk who do not support and/or promote what I do.
I used to look forward to calling in to Express Yourself every Monday so that I could listen to Rocky Mount Councilman/OIC CEO Reuben Blackwell and Tony Stephens Education Talent Search and their guest. I used to call in and express myself since Soul 92 was so gracious to given up the air time.
I appreciate the years of service that Soul 92 gave us, however I understand their move to Raleigh. I ain’t mad with them because they got to do what they got a do and they are in the business of making money so I applaud them.
Well hopefully 2016 we will have a local talk show with some consistency and some great sharing of the issues locally. There is so much going on that folk don’t even know. There are groups around that are promoting a lot lies and since everyone don’t subscribe to the local newspapers, they miss out on a lot.
Why should I support you but you don’t support me?
Why should I take time out of my schedule to video and take photos of your event for free or very little to nothing?
Why do you feel I owe you something when you have never done anything for me?
Why do you act as if you don’t know what is wrong with society today when folk who are always looking for others to do something free for them?
Why do you think our children do what they do?
Because they see just how self-centered you are and always wanting something for nothing but you want them to be different.
I have a real job and I will not support you when you do not support me so remember that!
