Okay I Got That Do What The Police Say Do, But What About Why Do The Police Get The Right To Provoke Citizens?

I am damn sick and tired of looking at the news seeing police incidents that are clearly shown whereby the police have provoked citizens which then has lead to the citizens dying either on the scene or days later. Just recently as the police stopped a black female Sandra Bland for a simple traffic stop, he acted a damn fool. Obviously he had something on his mind before stopping her, he has an issue with black folk or just beats the hell out of me what his problem is. But it is clear this guy had a serious problem.

Where is it a law where you can’t ask the police why you are being stopped and/or arrested and he refuse to give you an answer. Where is it a law that the police can tell you to put out your cigarette and snatch you out of the car?

A retired officer said Bland was arrogant. So where is it a law for being arrogant?

Now after being abused by a damn police officer who is suppose to protect and serve treats you worse than an animal, do you not think that will not bother someone in their right mind, to be beat up at the scene and then arrested over something as minor as a traffic violation? Hell yeah I believe that if it was me, I would be in jail with time on my hand to not think about anything but what happened to me, how all of this went down over nothing that was life threatening.

It is my opinion that even if Bland committed suicide that this police provoked her to do it. If he had treated her with some respect even if she had had suicide on her mind before this incident took place, he may could have been the one to make her have a life changing experience if he treated her with utmost kindness.

What I keep seeing about the incident is just pathetic. I am talking about that that I can see as it relates to the traffic stop and this cop acted a fool. I ain’t gonna try to figure out what happened during the course of the incident that I could not see such as when they moved out of front of the camera and then at the jail. I am going to leave that up to folk who should be entrusted to do the right thing. However I do have an opinion of what their findings are as presented if it do not sound reasonable.

What don’t help situations like this for me is folk talking about just do what the police tell you to do when stopped. Well a police is trained on what to do when he stop someone and the moment when he is captured that he is out of line then that is where the problem begin. It is clear that in the video the police is shown to be out of line so therefore he need to be reprimanded and this has nothing to do with after she was in jail.

What happened to being taught to get to the root of the problem? The root for me is the police officer got ignant with the citizen and the outcome is what it is. Most people take sides but for me it is the whole story that matters.

Now when good folk be it other law enforcement other than the police in question and good folk (citizens) begin to talk about what actually happened that they can see and not what if, if the citizen had just done what the police told her to do we can begin with the facts and how incidents like this could be eliminated. You see the police is in control because he has the badge however he need to be in control with some respect.

Well what the hell if the police would have just did his job respectfully? If he had we probably would not be talking about anther statistic and would never heard of Sandra Bland worldwide.

Read about this story for yourself, “Texas Trooper Had No Right to Ask Sandra Bland to Put Out Her Cigarette.”

I don’t want to talk about the damn story to anyone unless we are going to talk about how the police officer acted unprofessionally and once we get that clear, then we can talk about the suicide thing. Until then don’t talk to me about Sandra Bland. I don’t want to hear a damn thing about she had marijuana in her system after the autopsy. She was not stopped for being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, matter of fact don’t think that her being under the influence was never mentioned from the time she was arrested until being placed in jail. So it appears she had on jail clothes so obviously they didn’t find any drugs on her person. So if she smoked some marijuana what does that have to do with the traffic stop? When you connect the 2 then let me know.

Another damn form of legal bullying.

I have been knowing Deacon Lyons for years, used to work at Glenoit Mills with my daddy and then I worked out there for a couple of years. He was always nice to me when I talked to him at work and when I seen him in the community.

Brunswick County Powerball winner arrested on drug charges – WBTW News 13

The Political Agitator’s response: After they locked up the guy the police left and came back with the warrant to search house. Damn got children and the house smelled like marijuana and then found a gun. And one of the children has cerebral palsy. Sound like she need to get her s… together but she ain’t got they gonna help her. It ain’t nothing in this article that makes me have sympathy for her ignance.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WBTW) – The single mother out of Brunswick County who won $188 million in February from a winning Powerball ticket, was arrested at her home Thursday night on drug charges. Three other arrests were also made when police came to the house on Boverie Street in Shallotte.

Former Princeville mayor seeks $240 million in lawsuit – Rocky Mount Telegram

Photo from my file Attorney can’t remember her name, Attorney California-based attorney Charles Bonner, Priscilla Everette-Oates, Everette-Oates husband.

A former local mayor filed a multi-million dollar federal lawsuit today against local and state officials claiming false allegations in an embezzlement investigation.

Former Princeville Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates is asking for upward of $240 million, claiming her arrest and prosecution were retaliation for her investigation into missing FEMA funds for flood damage after Hurricane Floyd in 1999.

Everette-Oates lost a 2013 re-election bid a few months after being indicted by a grand jury on 17 counts of embezzlement by a public official. Those charges were dropped by state prosecutors in March. (Source: Read more)

Nash in top ten for jobs, ranks fifth in manufacturing – Rocky Mount Telegram

The Political Agitator’s response: Pisses me the hell off when folk say that the education system is so damn bad here, that folk are lazy and don’t want to work, they can’t pass the drug test and other but I know from working in Nash County that although employees didn’t go off to college that they are doing some high tech jobs. It goes to show that these employees are trainable and will get the job done if given the opportunity to show themselves approval. The sad part though is some local folk buy into that mess helping those who don’t want to see certain folk make good money and live a good life. They talk so negative about folk here as if they are just dumb, don’t want to work and other but actually that is not the case. It was not older folk fault that they were laid off, jobs moved out of the area and etc. It was not the young folk fault that the job situation was not good and it has taken them some time for the season to come. I love my job and wish everyone could be hired but there are other good places to work in Nash County as well so I am glad to see things are picking up.

Manufacturing continuously has been a leading industry in the local area.

In Nash County, Carolina Gateway Partnership Vice President Krista Ikirt said, the labor force roughly is about 44,000. She added manufacturing jobs make up as much as 18 percent of Nash County’s employee population.

“This shows that we rely heavily on manufacturing jobs in Nash County,” she said.

Headlightdata.com, a website that provides up-to-date economic and workforce information reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, recently released data that showed Nash County ranked fifth in the top 10 counties for the most manufacturing jobs created in 2014. (Source: Read more)

Black Mississippi flag supporter dies in traffic accident – Yahoo News

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A black Mississippi man who often dressed in Confederate regalia to support the state flag has died in a one-car accident.

Anthony Hervey, 49, was killed Sunday when the 2005 Ford Explorer he was driving left the roadway and overturned on Mississippi Highway 6 in Lafayette County, the Highway Patrol said.

The vehicle’s owner and passenger in the car, Arlene Barnum, told The Associated Press on Monday that Hervey swerved and crashed after another vehicle carrying four or five young black men pulled up alongside them, yelling and looking angry. Barnum, of Stuart, Oklahoma, said Hervey yelled something back at the other vehicle before losing control and crashing. (Source: Read more)

Tarboro NC – Kentucky Fried Chicken Will Not Be Going There Again Unless I Hear They Got A New Manager

Maybe it was how I was dressed on yesterday in this photo. I forgot to add the photo after taking it for the sole purpose that I thought I was dressed appropriate with a nice pair of shorts.

Today I went into Kentucky Fried Chicken, went to the bathroom and washed my hands. I went to the table and set up my laptop. As I set down and had just turned on my laptop the manager hollered and asked was I purchasing anything today? I said yes I am. I sat there and then I asked may I ask you why you asked? She said because of the internet. I said it is not on your door that you have to purchase anything. I said but I am and then again I may not.

And then she and another female employee acted as if I had committed a crime. The other female said that the manager had the right to ask me but I guess I didn’t have the right to ask her. The other female said they do it at McDonalds. I said I have never been asked.

But what got me is it sounded like the female asked the manager could they turn the internet off and she said yes.

Well damn I am trying to figure out why these 2 black females felt today was the day to pick on me. Wrong!

I am so glad the assistant county manager who will be the new county manager when the county manager retires in a a couple of months was sitting in there. I like that brother because he drive a Malibu and I do too. (A little humor cause I ain’t mad!)

I packed up my bag and as I was walking out the door I told the black guy that worked there to give them my card because I was going to write about them on my blog and they could read it for themselves.

I parked next door at the service station that is closed and I got out my laptop parked under the shelter with my air condition on and wrote my story.

Well many damn times I have gone in there and they don’t have any chicken or I had to wait for chicken when they are a chicken restaurant just makes no sense to me. Hell I normally spend $20.00 plus dollars because I have eaten there and then took food home for the family or just take a family pack home.

I just stopped in there a couple of nights ago because my wife wanted some grill chicken and they had no grill chicken so I had to go to Bojangles and get a family value pack.

I ought to have asked for the manager’s name and called corporate but it ain’t that damn serious. Now if something was wrong with my food, different story.

Rocky Mount NC – Damn They Have Been Silent On The Issue Of The Firing Of The Superintendent And The School Split But Have The Audacity To Mention The School System

I just received a petition that is floating around in opposition to The Downtown Facilities Center. They continue to try to do everything they can to stop progress on the Edgecombe County side of Rocky Mount NC.

The Petition mentions that some of this same money could be used for the school system that will be going towards the center.

Well I haven’t seen these folk say a damn thing about the issue with the firing of the school superintendent Dr. Anthony Jackson that has been a center of controversy for several weeks now. Damn they haven’t came out on either side for or against just silence. Or are they really silent but operating in the background.

Well to me it would appear that since the folk behind the petition is so damn hell bent on the city council giving money to the school system, then why have they been silent on the superintendent firing and moreso on the school split whereby Nash County Commissioners don’t want Rocky Mount City Council to give money to the school system.

So damn the Nash County Commissioners don’t want the Rocky Mount City Council to be involved in the school system so obviously the petitioners have not been keeping up with the recent mess as it relates to the school system Nash vs Rocky Mount but then again maybe they are a part of it.

The petition is quite interesting. I get so sick and tired of pretty words trying to entice folk but yet folk suppose to trust that their way is the better way as the petitioner put it. They have an alternative plan. Damn ain’t that nothing!

They are misleading folk to that the money that will be earmarked and received a certain type of way can be used for anything which is just ignant.

Okay some pretty words in the alternative plan,

The half million dollar fund to keep an events center going until it meets the requirements and tax credits
closings–a questionable goal–could pay teachers’ supplements one year. The tax increase and electricity
savings could pay for the police and fire enhancements.

So tell me so you are saying the city can do this right here and everybody will be happy? Oh hell no just like everybody ain’t going to be happy with The Facilities Center and other things that the city council put on the table.

When it comes to monies as it relates to the school system why in the hell are ya’ll not petitioning and challenging our Governor Pat McCrory who under his leadership the good ole boys have kept education at all levels and will not be satisfied until NC is the sorriest school system in the United States. But you act as if it is the Rocky Mount City Council who funds the school system. The funding comes from the county Nash County Commissioners but you see if I let you tell it, folk may think otherwise.

The petition:

Whereas we respect the City Council’s desire to improve Rocky Mount for the good of its residents, and
agree with that goal, we respectfully request the City Council to redefine it’s priorities to achieve better
schools, safe neighborhoods, streets, parking lots, and reverse the brain drain and exodus of residents from
the city, while pursuing the upgrading of downtown Rocky Mount
We respectfully request that the immediate needs of the city be met while the goal of downtown revitalization
is pursued.

I refuse to name the petitioner and to post the entire petition because I have not heard them speak out on the issue with the firing of the superintendent nor the issue with the Nash County Commissioners trying to send all the children in the city of Rocky Mount to the Edgecombe County Public Schools after they have collected all of that bond referendum money and the Nash County Commissioners have refused to build a high school on the Edgecombe County side even with the money from the bond.

The Confederate Flag saga is alive and well in Nash County and they are working to do whatever they can to keep anything good from happening on the Edgecombe County side of Rocky Mount. But I truly believe that a change is gonna come soon and the good master is going to touch the hearts of good white folks who are going to say enough is enough and it is time to make Rocky Mount one Rocky Mount. And when this happens, the race track will not be known as the finish line for the eastside but the starting line. It will begin at the track and move east and oh what a time what a time. I may not be here to see it, but as long as it happens it will be a good day in Rocky Mount and the people will say as the NAACP shirts that I wear often reads, “They Stood Then, We Stand Now!”

I encourage the Rocky Mount City Council and all folk of good will to continue to stand the struggle continues but victory is coming.

Photos/Videos: See What Happened At The Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools Meeting On Last Night

Click on photo for more photos.

We are where we are because some folk got us here and it is going to take a hell of a lot to get us to where we need to be. But I believe it can be done because I have seen some folk speak out that has not done so before. When the rest of them decide they are going to get into the ring and speak out, then we can begin to truly move forward.

Some folk whom have spoke out need to sit down and shut up until the time is right but right now ain’t the time. They can be on the team but not the star.

And for me I don’t have to win the fight, I just want to make sure the fight is fair and that those who are in control follow their own policies and procedures.

Last night was a prime example an opportunity missed to have a teachable moment to show the folk that not only do the school board have some s with them but that black board attorney as well who are suppose to be a consultant to the board and not running the d show.

I am not a college graduate but I know what I know because I have been trained by the best. I received certificates of graduation for participating in the yearly (PESP) Parent Education Studies Program through the NC Justice and Community Development Center Education Leadership Institute at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill NC on June 14, 2002 and again on May 30, 2003 at the Holiday Inn Gateway Center in Rocky Mount NC.

Oh ya’ll didn’t get that!
