The Removing Of The Confederate Flag From The State Capitol And Other Places

Who said it would change the hearts of hate? Damn why is it so hard to understand that folk don’t want to see it on the Capitol which suppose to represent all folk.

Damn did not the white boy go to South Carolina where the flag flies, didn’t he have a confederate license tag and didn’t he speak to what sensible folk already know about the confederate flag.

Now don’t get it twisted I don’t give a damn about the moving it from their personal property and on their person.

Anyone in their right mind know if this was a group of black men doing such a thang, they would be harassed and told them they can’t assemble like that.

The problem I have is ignant ass black folk who promote the ignant white folk mess by acting as if the flag is black folk history.

This mess ain’t new just has been more in force since we have a black President.

Confederate States of America – Declaration of the Immediate Causes Which Induce and Justify the Secession of South Carolina from the Federal Union – Yale Law School

The people of the State of South Carolina, in Convention assembled, on the 26th day of April, A.D., 1852, declared that the frequent violations of the Constitution of the United States, by the Federal Government, and its encroachments upon the reserved rights of the States, fully justified this State in then withdrawing from the Federal Union; but in deference to the opinions and wishes of the other slaveholding States, she forbore at that time to exercise this right. Since that time, these encroachments have continued to increase, and further forbearance ceases to be a virtue.

And now the State of South Carolina having resumed her separate and equal place among nations, deems it due to herself, to the remaining United States of America, and to the nations of the world, that she should declare the immediate causes which have led to this act.

In the year 1765, that portion of the British Empire embracing Great Britain, undertook to make laws for the government of that portion composed of the thirteen American Colonies. A struggle for the right of self-government ensued, which resulted, on the 4th of July, 1776, in a Declaration, by the Colonies, “that they are, and of right ought to be, FREE AND INDEPENDENT STATES; and that, as free and independent States, they have full power to levy war, conclude peace, contract alliances, establish commerce, and to do all other acts and things which independent States may of right do.”  (Source: Read more)

Greenville NC – Memorial For Sharon Sharpe A Freedom Fighter

I was shocked to learn on yesterday that Sharon had passed. When I received the phone call about this event on yesterday I had no idea it was for her. I met Sharon several years ago through Mary Williams one of her close friends. Sharon was very nice, hard working and dedicated.

Nash County board issues ultimatum on schools split – Rocky Mount Telegram

The Political Agitator’s response: Interesting from a 4 – 3 vote to a unanimous vote. Wow! Must have been some powerful information in that meeting however but took them 3 hours to come to a decision though. And then a Republican makes motion and a Democrat 2nd it that lead to a unanimous vote. They worked that damn thang.

NASHVILLE – A unified Nash County Board of Commissioners issued a final ultimatum on school funding Friday.

The unanimous resolution calls for the Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners and the Rocky Mount City Council to agree to a three-year phase out of the city’s payments to Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools and per capita funding by the Edgecombe board. If they don’t comply by July 7, Nash commissioners will seek legislation immediately to separate the school system along county lines. (Source: Read more)
