Princeville, NC, will host an exhibit featuring the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation from February 17th, 2015 through March 21st, 2015.
The Town has planned a series of events and lectures in conjunction with the exhibit.
PRINCEVILLE, NC – The Princeville Museum will host a special exhibit created by the North Carolina Museum of History to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation. The museum has planned a series of lectures and special events in conjunction with the exhibit.
Wednesday, March 11th at 10am – Mr. Bullock will also lead a discussion on ‘Kid’s Day’ on
Saturday, March 14th at 1pm – Lawrence Auld, PhD will give a presentation on African American Sites of Interest in Edgecombe County.
Thursday, March 19th at 6pm – Mr. Earl Ijames, a curator with the North Carolina Museum of History, will give a presentation on the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation.
