Nashville NC: Six White Girls In Controversial Photo Bring On Challenges About Nash-Rocky Mount Schools Policy And Procedures Being Carried Out Consistently

Check out the controversy surrounding the Nash Central High School controversy and form your own decision. The following is my ignant opinion.

I am pass the 6 girls in the photo and the 7th person that took the photo because although it didn’t happen at school, it is now a school issue because the school is providing police protection. The controversy comes at a time when towns across the United States are speaking out against the murdering of black folks by the police.

FACT: The girls posted the photo on Instagram and obviously some students took issue with it because the white girls have been given police protection by the school system. So therefore it is now a school issue.

FACT: The NAACP and the community are now being made aware of the issue that took place a couple of weeks ago so don’t act as if the NAACP started this mess. They are questioning the mess.

Fact: It is 6 girls in the photo so who is the 7th person that took the photo?

For me it is about questioning whether the school system is following their own policies and procedures and being a community activist dating back to the late 80’s and a Life Fully Paid Member of the NAACP I believe the school is not treating this mess like they have other incidents within the system especially when it comes to dealing with black students.

I don’t want to talk about the girls, the KKK and other at the moment I want to talk about the school system not following their policies and procedures and if that is proven then the issue with the girls being suspended will take care of itself.

I have also stated that I want to know who the parents are because that may help solve why the mess is being treated the way it has. Somebody is protecting somebody.

I have seen the Press Release from the NAACP so where is the Press Release from the school system that should have come a couple of weeks ago.

Something is wrong with this picture and it is greater than the girls. Again for me it is now about the school system policies and procedures.

  1. I’m from Rocky Mount and I graduated from a Nash-Rocky Mount Public School. I am completely livid about the decision of Nash Central not taking actions of suspension or something more greater. It’s sad to see things like that and let only since the superintendent is a AFRICAN AMERICAN man, he would understand how this disrupts our community but instead he was going to hide it and say he can take actions unless it was on “school-based technology”. Now if the kids react to this decision, they’re going to be suspended for what? When the man that supposed to keep our schools in order didn’t do anything ? Now if it would of been a black boy or girl having a picture of a lynched white man would it be the same decision or different? This is a disgrace in the black community and this action should not go unpunished.
