Richt unsure Todd Gurley will return – ESPN College Football

The Political Agitator response: I understand that college players ought to get paid however until the rule is changed it is irrelevant. So I am waiting to see what the outcome will be. Either way Todd is going to be okay but I just wish he could have a chance at the Heisman Trophy and could finish his career at Georgia on the football field. We shall see.

ATHENS, Ga. — While Todd Gurley returned to practice Monday, Georgia coach Mark Richt isn’t sure whether the junior running back will play in another game for the No. 10 Bulldogs this season.

“I just don’t have any answer for that,” Richt said. “I don’t know. If there’s something worthy of reporting, we’ll report it. Other than that, we’re focusing on things that we can control.”

When asked directly whether he thought Gurley would play again this season, Richt again said that he didn’t know.

Photos/Video: Tarboro Town Council Meeting Monday October 13, 2014

I was going to name Councilman Garland Sheppard “Councilman No” but almost at the end of the meeting he called himself Stupid so I am going to name him “Councilman Stupid!” Watch video and see why he is stupid. I repeat he called himself Stupid so I am just agreeing with him.

I found the motion to change the seating order to be quite interesting along with much of the meeting. It is never a dull moment because “Councilman Stupid” will keep you laughing.

Gurley memorabilia dealer hires Atlanta attorney – AJC

ESPN reported Friday that a Villa Rica memorabilia dealer sent an email to the network and other media outlets last month claiming to possess a video of Gurley doing a private autograph signing. The dealer, Bryan Allen, wrote that Gurley had been paid thousands of dollars over the previous 18 months.

“I personally paid him for the signing on the video,” Allen wrote, adding that he’d also bought and sold game-used equipment from the player.

A photo attached to the email shows an African-American male who resembles Gurley signing a mini-UGA helmet inside a car. (Source: Read more)

Clergy among dozens arrested on final day of ‘Ferguson October’ protests – The Guardian

Police arrested more than 50 people, including members of the clergy and the radical intellectual and activist Cornel West, during a day of civil disobedience protests on Monday over the killing in Ferguson of an unarmed 18-year-old African American man, Michael Brown, by a white police officer two months ago.

Several hundred people marched on Ferguson police station for a “Moral Monday” protest on the final day of a “Weekend of Resistance” that brought activists from across the US to demand that Darren Wilson, the officer who shot Brown, be put on trial and to protest over broader issues of racial profiling and use of excessive force by police officers in other places.
