Homegoing Celebration For Cora Christine Hyman Heath Tarboro NC

My condolences goes out to Milton and Steve Heath along with the entire family of the late Cora Christine Hyman Heath Tarboro, NC.

I am so mad because I am just learning tonight as I was trying to catch up on the internet, that your mother has expired. I wish I had known before today. Milton you and Steve were almost like a brother to me because although I worked at Glenoit for a little while ya’ll worked with my dad for a couple of years before I started. Again I am so mad and I apologize for not being there during your time of bereavement.

Homegoing Celebration For Jackie Gardner Light Macclesfield NC

My condolences goes out to Ashley Michelle Light and the entire family of the late Jackie Gardner Light Macclesfield, NC.

Jackie was my classmate SouthWest Edgecombe High School Class of 1981. I ran into Jackie often especially when her daughter worked at the Dollar General in Pinetops but Ashley now works in Taboro at the Shell Station.

I was shocked to learn on yesterday that Jackie had expired. I understand she was a diabetic and had had a diabetic attack and was alone at the time.

Everyone that is local please join me tomorrow evening Wednesday August 12 at the funeral home to show our support.

How many unarmed people have to die? LZ Granderson CNN

Tired of our streets being peppered with dead, unarmed black people. Tired of listening to armed assailants describe how they feared for their lives. Tired of being told “this has nothing to do with race.”

I am tired of having to march to have murderers arrested. Tired of worrying about my 17-year-old being gunned down by some random white guy who thinks his music is too loud. Tired of knowing the same could happen to me.

I am tired of seeing a hashtag in front of a victim’s name on Twitter. Tired of seeing Al Sharpton speak on behalf of a family. Tired of waiting for verdicts and hoping for justice –as if hearing “guilty” can ease the anxiety of knowing a police officer shot and killed a 22-year-old black man while he was lying face down and with his hands behind his back. Damn I Am Tired Of Folks Talking About They Are Concerned, Concerned About What?

I left home in Pinetops this morning Monday August 11, 2014 and went to work in Rocky Mount. I got off work at 3:30 PM and went and bought me something to eat.

I videoed the OR Pope School Closing meeting sponsored by the NAACP and the Holly Street Neighborhood Association at 5 PM in Rocky Mount.

I left the school meeting at around 6:50 PM and I went to the Town of Tarboro Meeting to see how the Town Council would address the former Town Manager Sam Nobles, a former Town Clerk and a retired town employee, past councilman and now the current Mayor who are a part of an alleged criminal investigation for mishandling of funds.

I left the Town of Tarboro Meeting around 10:00 PM.

I have a problem when folks do not participate in what is going on in our communities where decisions are being made that affect our children and the community as a whole.

So where were you? I videoed both meetings. I don’t get paid to do this but ignant ass black folks would say I am trying to make a name for myself. Well this is my car to travel to the meetings, this is my camera equipment for videoing and taking photos to document what is going on so the folks making decisions can be held accountable for their actions because I can play it back when they get damn amnesia and say they didn’t say that.  I laid down around 12 midnight and then I am back up around 4 am working on preparing the videos and photos for folks to be able to watch on my Social Media sites.

I don’t get paid to do what I do.

Damn folks get to watch the video of the meeting from the convenience of their home or wherever but then after watching it they don’t even comment. But damn these folks get on Social media sites and act like they are all of that and that they are so concerned. Oh hell no! I am going to start calling folks out when they don’t comment. Hell you ain’t commenting on anything I said but commenting on what actually happened. Damn seeing it for yourself ain’t enough? Hell you can read the newspaper and get a picture but I bring you the damn real picture.

So when I see some folks talking about they are concerned and you don’t respond to what is going on locally, then I am going to ask you where you stand? Damn I am tired of fake folks so if you are concerned, show it.

Oh I forgot to mention hell the school board that voted to close the school in the black community is a majority black board and the Superintendent is BLACK.

The Tarboro Town council is a majority white council and all of those whom the NC State Auditor’s report named for mishandling of funds are all WHITE.

I hold black, brown, white and others accountable for their actions.

Now Run & Tell That!
