Truth! I started out advocating in the early 90’s for the youth, the elderly and those in between who have no voice because they are too young, too old, scared or whatever the reasons may be.
I have really been an advocate for education in Edgecombe County but not limited to long before I had a child in the Edgecombe County Public Schools system. Check out the minutes from over the years and you will find my comments as I addressed the ECPS regularly.
I found myself advocating for other folks children while they didn’t and still do not attend the school board meetings. But that is alright because that means my mission is working because that means I am advocating for the children who have no voice.
All of these folks talking about they are all about the children, so what are you doing?
If I don’t do anymore advocating I have done more than my fair share. That is why today I do what I do, how I do it and when I want to do it because I have been there done that!
