The Elections Are Over But I Still Have Zero Tolerance When It Comes To Politics

I will not entertain ignance to a certain degree. I will respond when I feel it is something that I feel I need to respond to but just simple ignance I will not waste my time.

I will respect others whom respect me so don’t make it personal with me. If you don’t want to hear what I have to say. Don’t start nothing and it won’t be nothing.

I have accepted all of the winners and respect their office because no matter what they are my representative. Whenever I disagree with them I will do it respectfully. However I am trusting that they will do what is good for all people.

So my 1st and final warning don’t post any ignant comments on my blog nor on my Facebook timeline because I recognize and understand that I will see some ignant comments just because I may be friends with some other folks on Facebook.

Forward!

Now We Better Get Ready For The 2014 Elections Remember 2010?

The people have spoken and re-elected President Barack Obama so what’s next?

Do you remember that in 2010 two years after “our” President was elected in 2008 the Democrats lost the majority in the US House of Representatives in NC?

You can think the battle has been won if you want to but if you do not get “our” President some help in 2014 then we will be in the same predicament for the next 4 years.

Yes I am happy we re-elected President Barack Obama but all politics is local. We have a Republican majority in the NC General Assembly so now we have got to trust that they will govern within the best interest of all folks. I respect all of the winners who have been elected/re-elected be they Democrat or Republican.

TO SAY PRESIDENT OBAMA WON LAST NIGHT WOULD BE TECHNICALLY BUT IT WOULD SERVE AS AN UNDERSTATE TO THE MAGNITUDE OF WHO OR WHAT WAS ACTUALLY WON by Curtis Gatewood.

1. TRUTH WON. TRUTH WON OVER LIES. NO ONE SHOULD EVER EXPECT TO WIN WHILE STANDING ON A FOUNDATION OF LIES.

2. JUSTICE WON. JUSTICE WON OVER VOTER SUPPRESSION. JUSTICE WON OVER NEW HURDLES, RULE CHANGES, AND DECK STACKING TO DEFEAT THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT.

3. HOPE WON OVER HATE. HATRED HAS NO BUSINESS THINKING IT CAN AGAIN RULE US BY THE HAND OF INTIMIDATION. WE REFUSED TO ALLOW HATE TO COME OUT AND VOTE WHILE HOPE STAYS HOME.

4. GOD WON OVER EVIL. GOD DECIDED LIES, DECEIT, INTIMIDATION, RACISM, BITTERNESS, BIGOTRY, DISREPECT, HYPOCRISY, HATRED, INJUSTICE, PROPAGANDA, MONEY, IGNORANCE, AND CHEATING WOULD NOT HAVE THE LAST WORD.

BASED UPON ITEMS 1-4, GOD HAD A VICTORY TONIGHT! WHEN GOD WINS – WE ALL WIN. BASED UPON ITEMS 1-4, ALL AMERICANS WON TONIGHT, WHETHER THEY WILL EVER REALIZE IT OR ADMIT IT.

IN ELIZABETH CITY ON LAST NIGHT, WHERE NEARLY 300 STUDENTS MARCHED WITH ME TO POLLS – I PRAYED THAT GOD WOULD HEAL OUR LAND.

GOD DID HIS PART, NOW WE MUST DO OURS…"TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS." WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE SOME OF OUR PASTORS BACK TO SUNDAYS SO WE MAY DO A BETTER JOB OF PROTECTING OUR FLOCKS FOR DECEIT, EVIL, AND BIBLICAL MANIPULATION.

Congressman Butterfield Elected to 5th Term in Congress

WILSON, NC — Congressman G. K. Butterfield (D-NC-01) tonight won his 5th term in the U.S. House of Representatives. The eastern North Carolina native represents the First Congressional District, which now includes parts of Durham and Franklin Counties.

"I am grateful to the citizens of eastern North Carolina for giving me the honor to once again represent them in the United States Congress," Butterfield said. “Middle-class families across North Carolina need a fighter in their corner who will defend their access to a high quality education, affordable healthcare and good paying jobs,” he added.  "I will use this opportunity to continue to fight to protect low-income and middle-class Americans."

Butterfield also noted that resolving the impending fiscal crisis should be the first order of business when Congress reconvenes.  “Congress urgently needs to repeal the drastic cuts scheduled to hit Defense and discretionary spending.  The future of the economy is largely dependent on our ability to prevent these damaging cuts, and develop a fair and responsible way to reduce our national deficit.”

Butterfield was first elected in a 2004 special election.  In the House, he sits on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee, and serves as the Chief Deputy Whip of the Democratic Caucus.  He is also the Second Vice Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus.  Prior to Congress, Butterfield served as a Superior Court judge, North Carolina Supreme Court justice, and a civil rights attorney.

Now I Can Get Some Sleep The Elections Are Over, Haven’t Had Much Sleep Since Right Before The May Primary

Now I can get some sleep because I have been following the road to the election via the internet and attending functions trying to help educate the folks about the real truth as it relates to what “our” current President has tried to accomplish in the past 4 years.

Our President won all of the battleground states except North Carolina my hometown, ain’t that nothing.

The elections turned out just like I thought it would in North Carolina. I was hoping that Lt. Walter Dalton would pull it out however I knew that so much was riding on the hate for Governor Beverly Perdue.

I am not amazed at how North Carolina didn’t support our President and it shows you just who we are dealing with. But if you let them tell it they will say race has nothing to do with it.

I was so damn mad that it appeared that some folks were listening to the lies from the Republican Party and not actually looking at “our” current President’s record.

I was never concerned about the Republican vote but waiting to see how Democrats would vote so can’t wait to get the numbers for Edgecombe County and across the state of North Carolina.

Our President won the Popular Vote along with the Electoral Vote 303 – 206 however Florida is not in yet but they only have 29 Electoral Votes so if Romney was to win Florida it would not help him.

Okay time to go to bed now.

Check out the Washington Post.
