Princeville mayor challenged to debate – Source: The Daily Southerner

TARBORO — I am issuing a public challenge to Princeville Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates and the Board of Commissioners of that town to justify, in a public forum and without her gavel, the financial decisions that they have made and the perverted moral compass and tone that they have set in motion over the past several months. Terry Smith Editor of The Daily Southerner I Hear You, “Big big difference in Reidsville” However My Question To You Is Cause I Don’t Know The Answer

Terry Smith I read your article “Big big difference in Reidsville” with much interest because I appreciate you doing your research. I am very much familiar with Amon Muhammad and Muhammad’s Study Group organization as it relates to the Black Family Day in Reidsville because I have been receiving a personal invitation over the years. However I have not had the opportunity to attend.

Mr. Smith my question to you is, “Has the Town of Tarboro co-sponsored the Confederate Soldiers re-enactment and other things that has taken place on the Commons that also could have been held at Indian Lake?” You see if the Town has then they are the ones who have opened up the can of worms and not Remi Muhammad. You see sometimes those who are in charge set the tone and then when others try to get in and reap some of the same benefits then others complain. And then when some see it as racist because they are denied the same right, then research is done at great lengths to attempt to make black folks seem as if they are just all about playing the race card. Well sir I don’t live in the Tarboro City limits however my physical address is a Tarboro route and I call it like I see it cause I don’t play especially when it comes to politics.

Thanks my friend for your research however I look forward to your answer to my question in a response in your paper. Your response can be obtained right here in Tarboro. But your newspaper probably already know because they have done articles on past events on the Commons.

Note: Thank you ECPS, finally you have begun to do a press release on personnel listings, this is something that I have been asking for for years. Although you did give out a list at the end of the school board meetings, and now recently putting it on your website. Some other school systems have been doing this over the years. It is good to be able to  put a face with the names and also it is good to see where the persons come from. Curmilus Dancy II – DCN Publisher

Do You Know? Edgecombe County Public Schools – MacDonald principal headed to Edgecombe County As An Assistant Superintendent

Dr. Renee Franklin, principal of H.J. MacDonald Middle School, will be leaving the Craven County educational system to take a position as assistant superintendent of Edgecombe County Schools. (Read more)

Note: So who knew? So whose position was open? Oh maybe it was Roland Whitted former assist. superintendent. I haven’t seen this in the Personnel listings but just maybe I missed it.

You see this is why a press release should have gone out like it did in the Sun Journal Newspaper. It is not that I missed it, it is more of when reading the list it do not sink in. But a press release such as the one above bring it home. Curmilus Dancy II – DCN Publisher
