Some folks will never get over the fact that Barack Obama is a black man and has served as President for nearly 4 years. This goes for white and black folks.

Maybe I am just ignant but to think that our President passed inspection for his name to be put on the ballot was enough for me. But maybe not, maybe I should have spent my time thereafter trying to validate that he is human unlike some don’t want him to be on top of being a US Citizen.

Damn if you don’t like the man don’t vote for the man but when he win again you must accept the fact that he is your President whether you like it or not. Hell it is not like you have to live in the White House with the man.

But the main thing is most folks are ignant to the fact that politics is local. While some are focusing on the White House they are losing out on holding those accountable on the local level.

The proposed precinct and map delineations for the new Board districts were presented today and are online.  They were developed by the law firm of Kieran Shanahan, who was hired for $10,000 by a 5-3 vote of the Board to develop and redraw the maps.  A full precinct map is online on the WakeGov site, to locate a specific precinct.  Voters also can look up their own precinct and voting location online as well.

The Board will hold a public hearing on the new Board of Education districts on Tuesday, May 10.  Time and place to be announced.  Chair Ron Margiotta proposed voting on the redistricting plans at a special called meeting, at 3 pm, on Tuesday, May 17.
