Just days after he surfaced as the man who kept a secret clout-heavy list of school applicants for then-Chicago schools chief Arne Duncan, David Pickens has resigned.

Topeka, Kansas………A  4:13pm Citywide Stop the Violence Rally is planned for Sunday, April 4, 2010. Sponsors Include: Stop the Violence Memorial Tree Dedication Committee, Bias Busters of Kansas, Kansas Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Committee, Kansas Fever Committee, Black Star Project, etc.

Emergency responders were called at 4:13 p.m. last Sunday 03-28-12 in a gazebo-like area at the north end of Cental park, just south of S.W. 13th and Clay in Topeka, Kansas, where a passer-by found a man unresponsive. http://cjonline.com/news/local/2010-03-28/man_beaten_in_central_park

Police and neighborhood residents said the victim, identified only as a white man in his 50s, was believed to be homeless. He had been seen asleep and unharmed minutes before the attack by at least three people who were walking through the park.

"Violence is the last resort of a limited mind. We believe in the rule of law." 

Scheduled speakers include: Morning Madness radio personality. Family members, friends and the public are invited to participate by word, song, prayer or Scripture, poem by Raymond Cristian will be read.

Just when I thought the man was working on recovering from the public relations disaster that was his presidency, George W. Bush goes and pulls what looks like another frat boy stunt.

A video of Dubya in Haiti with former President Bill Clinton to raise money and awareness shows Bush shaking hands and then seemingly patting Clinton on the shoulder before appearing to wipe his hand on Clinton’s shirt. (Read more @ BV)
