On Wednesday, March 31st, 2010, Community Success Initiative and Martin Street Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC – are convening an Exoffender Reentry Roundtable and Forum

This meeting will be from 11am–2pm and will be held at Martin Street Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1001 East Martin St. Raleigh, NC 27610. 

Martin St Pastor, Earl Johnson: “I am very happy to be working with Dennis Gaddy and Community Success Initiative as Martin Street Baptist Church and its Community Development Corporation expand our compassionate outreach  and support to men and women coming out of incarceration and the reentry population.
This is a roundtable discussion designed to forge an alliance of community organizations and individuals that provide, or who may be interested in providing an interactive format for concerned and compassionate individuals and organizations to:

  • Meet community organizations that offer transition and reentry services that help ex-offender men and women get back on their feet, as well as hear updates around reentry
    issues
  • Hear  stories, issues, and challenges of ex-offenders
  • Hear from public officials, law enforcement and Judges who support reentry efforts
  • Get updates on Reentry efforts from NC Legislature and Governor’s Reentry Street safe Reentry Task Force
  • Exchange knowledge and resources in an informal setting

A box lunch will be provided (by an exoffender entrepreneur)

Please RSVP if you plan to attend  — it will help us to prep food, etc.
