Child Eats Another Child’s Vomit At A Local School

G.W. Carver Elementary School

Pinetops, North Carolina

Dear Mr. William Ellis Principal:

Sources reported to The DCN that on or around about Friday February 19, 2010 a child vomited in a kindergarten classroom and another child ate the vomit. It was reported that when the child vomited it was covered with a napkin.

Everytime I think about this incident it almost makes me sick on my stomach because this is not only nasty but could be make a child very, very sick. I keep wondering how could this happen when the classroom is suppose to be ran by an experienced educator and an assistant. This is unacceptable and I hope that this situation is addressed.

I would like to hear from you informing me that you have properly addressed this issue and what corrective action has been put in place so that this situation will not occur again.

Thanking you in advance.

  1. First of all I am not going to accomplish anything responding to ignant comments such as yours. I am accomplishing what needs to be accomplished with those who are directly involved in this matter.

I am receiving all of the responses that I need.

I will continue to do what I do how I want to do it because it is working. I am more bthan happy with the responses I have received from bthe folks who are directly involved. You see you are not needed in this equation and I am only going to waste this little time with you because I have some business to attend to in regards to this situation.

Funny as hell that ignant folks like you wants to paint a picture that a black man has to be angry when dealing with white folks. Not angry at all.

Ib have no one as a role model and I don’t do what I do because I want someone to think of me as their role model. I don’t need any glory nor pay. I do what I do because it is my moral obligation to be a voice for the voiceless be they children and/or adults.

    • I would just like to see you speak with your voice in a more positive manner, that’s all. And FYI…..I am a proud, educated, beautiful African American woman not an ignant!!!

      • I will continue to do what I do how I do it because it works for me. I am not trying to appease anyone. I have a style that I use and I am pleased with the results I receive.

If you were so concerned about how I do things black woman you could simply pick up the phone and have a conversation with me. I don’t hide behind a code name. As far as I know you could be white or other.

I be damn if you are going to attempt to discredit me on ” my” blog.

Thank you but I am happy with the way I do things and I am not trying to win folks over but just handling the business at hand.

    • There’s is no such thing as too many people to care about a child, ANY child, and I understand your concerns about policies Mr. Dancy but I do not understand what you hope to accomplish with all the name calling. Did you ever stop to think that you might just get the response you’re seeking if you changed your tone? Why don’t you try the concerned citizen approach rather than that of the “angry black man”? I have no doubt that you care about the well being of all of God’s children, but do you honestly feel that you are being a positive role model?

  2. I may not have posted my name but my child knows how to follow directions learning this at home and not at school!!! you use the word ignant alot so maybe you should look in a mirror and the one who is ignant will be looking back at you!!!!!!!!!

  3. How do you know that procedures weren’t followed and reports weren’t filed and parent phone calls weren’t made? Accidents are going to happen. Children are going to get hurt. How would you feel if every time your child scraped his/her knee your neighbor called social services? As a parent of a child at G.W. Carver Elementary I can honestly say that I am completely satisfied with how the school is managed. Any time my child has been sick or hurt or upset I have received a phone call. I trust them. Lets support our local teachers and schools by applauding their efforts and successes and stop disecting them and highlighting any flaws. Is this incident unfortunate? Sure. Do I trust that the entire truth has been reported here? Not even close.

    • It is none of your damn business how I know. I know and that is a fact. This is not about my child so I ain’t going there with you. I don’t give a damn about you being satisfied with how the school is managed. I am very much with this school so I don’t need a confirmation from you nor anyone about the school because I am an involved Black Man. Oh hell no I am not going to support any teacher who do not follow policies and procedures and I will continue to disect their flaws. Ignant this is not about your child so you don’t need to respond here because we got this. We are going to handle this situation so if you have a problem with what is going on here on The DCN then you have options and I feel you are intelligent enough to know what they are. I got this. • I also agree with how do you know??? said. I have a child out there and i have never had any problems when my child got hurt, sick or anything else. The staff at Carver do their jobs plus more as i can see. Still the question is why would a child eat vomit unless he/she was made to do it at home!!! And if this is not your child why are you upset about the comments! By the way what diffence does it make that your black!!!!!!! everyboby knows that already by the way you wrote your comment!

  4. You are so off base! This is not how the incident happened and you do not have all the facts! The children were instructed as they always are when someone throws up, to leave it alone and to move away. The teacher turned to get the granules to put on the vomit as we always do and when she turned back all the children were standing back and the one child was doing what he was doing! He had been told to step away and leave it alone! Why would a child even want to eat vomit?! That is the real question here!

    • Off base, oh hell no!! Yes I have all of the facts and I stand behind what my sources reported to me. You say, “The children were instructed as they always are when someone throws up, to leave it alone and to move away. The teacher turned to get the granules to put on the vomit as we always do and when she turned back all the children were standing back and the one child was doing what he was doing! He had been told to step away and leave it alone!” So obviously you work at G.W. Carver Elementary School since you went into such detail. Your statement let me know you are a teacher ignant, “The teacher turned to get the granules to put on the vomit as we always do and when she turned back all the children were standing back and the one child was doing what he was doing!” I agree why would a child eat vomit however that is not the real question. The real questions are: 1. Why this incident was not reported? 2. Why were the parents not notified? You see policies and procedures were not followed by the teacher/s. Got more? Please tell your co-workers to respond as well. LMBAO

  5. How on earth could such a thing happen with children who are supposedly supervised by responsible employees! There needs to definitely be an investigation into this situation.

  6. This is not acceptable for the system to look at lightly. It needs to be reported to the Health Dept and let them handle this issue. Something of this nature can spread all types of germs to others.

  7. This is not to be tolerated by no administration. The Principal and others need to be FIRED. This also needs to be reported to the health dept for review and findings.
