Edgecombe County schools lose students, miss mark on standards – Source: The Rocky Mount Telegram

Superintendent Wayne Talley said Edgecombe County Public Schools is losing students.

At a biannual meeting between the Edgecombe County Board of Education and Edgecombe County commissioners last week, Talley delivered an address on the state of the school district and touched on a variety of points including student enrollment and performance as well as what the school district’s future is looking like in the midst of almost certain budget cuts.
