Building a Grad Nation Summit: March 18-21 Dear Rural Trust Supporter: Is the high school dropout rate a problem in your community? Are you looking for innovative ways to keep young people in school and prepare them for college and the 21st century workforce? If so, you may want to learn more about the 2012 Building a Grad Nation Summit. Free and open to the public, the Summit will be held in Washington, DC from March 18-21, 2012. The Summit is the premier event of Grad Nation, a growing movement of dedicated organizations, individuals, and communities working to end the high school dropout crisis and prepare young people for college and the 21st century workforce. The Summit provides an important national platform to: Continue to build awareness about the urgency of ending the dropout crisis and ensuring career/post-secondary readiness and success Help participants create valuable connections across networks to enable greater impact Inspire and motivate participants by highlighting local, state and national successes Educate and engage participants through collaborative discussions Provide participants with the tools and knowledge they need to turn awareness into action, and to potentially replicate successes seen elsewhere Report on our nation’s progress on key indicators relevant to Grad Nation goals Register today for this free event at www.americaspromise.org/Our-Work/Grad-Nation/Summit.aspx.
