Rocky Mount’s City Council chambers were packed with officials and residents Tuesday morning as N.C. Superior Court Judge Quentin Sumner swore in James Moore as the city’s new police chief.
“It was a poignant ceremony to begin the new year with,” Rocky Mount police Capt. Martin McCoy said. “It solidified a new beginning for the department, and I look forward to the new things he’ll bring.” (More)
