TARBORO — Preliminary results have only three of Edgecombe County’s 15 schools making Adequate Yearly Progress.

Schools fall shy of goals – Source: The Rocky Mount Telegram

Seven out of 27 schools in the Nash-Rocky Mount school district didn’t achieve expected growth, while eleven achieved “high growth,” according to a report from the N.C. Department of Public Instruction. Twenty schools in the district didn’t meet the federal Adequate Yearly Progress benchmark. (Source: The Rocky Mount Telegram)
