TARBORO — Former Personnel Officer, Menyonn Daniels of the Edgecombe County Department of Social Services made a complaint against the department Assistant Director, Betty Battle, and Director Marva G. Scott during the special session meeting Monday which had been called to discuss a personnel matter. Note: This continues to get more interesting. So if this was a personnel matter why is this being discussed openly with the public? I didn’t know that public comments were allowed during a special call meeting. Meeting called to discuss a personnel matter and to allow public comments sounds a little strange to me. The board chair says he believes Daniels is speaking for others and I am trying to figure out where this is going because it appears that this meeting is to build a case against the director/s.
