SouthWest Edgecombe Class of 1981 show our classmate and friend Otis Cornel Barnes some love by supporting him and his family during the time of the loss of his grandmother Mary Pitt. Otis loved his grandmother and inspite of long trips in his weekly employment driving trucks he was not too tired to come and check on his grandmom from time to time especially in the last few months.
Otis called me on Thursday evening to let me know his grandmom had expired and he was in Massachusetts at the time. He was in Pinetops on Friday night to be with his mom.
Homegoing service will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 1:00 PM at Crisp Chapel FWB Church in Crisp NC. There will be a viewing from 12 noon – 1:00 PM the day of the homegoing service.
