DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Supporters of changes in North Carolina’s juvenile justice system says the maximum age for youthful offenders should be raised to 18 from 16.
The Durham Herald-Sun reported that a district judge, a public defender and state lawmaker spoke to about two dozen people Saturday about changing the system. (Read more)
