Description of Work: 

The Healthcare Product Manager works closely with the Director of Health Plan Operations to integrate new and enhance existing products to support the strategic plan of the organization. This position is viewed as a subject matter expert for the full suite of medical products available in the marketplace for active, retired and Medicare primary members. This position will focus on new product implementation and take the lead in the development of product messaging for Plan members and other constituents.  This position will also assist in the development of communication tools and collateral to educate members on various healthcare products and services.  This position will foster relationships with key stakeholder groups on behalf of the Plan to support and promote the overall mission of the Plan.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This position is a subject matter expert that specialized in healthcare products such as Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, Health Reimbursement Accounts and Health Savings Accounts.  Comprehensive knowledge of marketing, product development, product implementation, brand strategy and communication/promotion strategies with an emphasis toward healthcare product education.   The incumbent must be an effective communicator with demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication with the ability to synthesize information received verbally or in written form.  Strong project management, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for a variety of audiences is a must.  The incumbent must have the ability to articulate summaries and make presentation to stakeholder groups with varying accountabilities and interests.  Require proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Proficiency in oral presentations is required.

 

Training and Experience Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing Communications, or related field; or graduation from a four-year college or university with 5 to 10 years experience in health care product communication or marketing.  Preference given to candidates with expertise in healthcare products marketing or communications with experience in developing a comprehensive marketing plan regarding healthcare products.  Must be able to travel approximately 25% and some overnight stay is required.  Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

The Fiscal Research Division (FRD), a nonpartisan staff agency of the North Carolina General Assembly, is recruiting for a knowledgeable individual with financial analysis skills to evaluate the budgetary impacts of North Carolina’s Medicaid program for the North Carolina General Assembly.  The preferred qualifications for a candidate include the following:  

                                                                                                                       

§  Demonstrated ability to conduct actuarial, financial, and/or statistical forecasting of cash flow and budgetary needs for a public health care third-party payer program;

 

§  Practical experience using cost and utilization data to estimate budgetary savings or costs due to program changes in a public health care financing program;

 

§  Working experience with a federal or state Medicaid program, State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), or other similar public health care program at the state or federal government level;

 

§  Demonstrated knowledge about the major components of the health care marketplace including the interaction between medical/drug providers, public/private payers of claims and utilization behavior of beneficiaries; and

 

§  Capability to manage business relationships with professional services firms, such as actuaries and health care consultants.

Field Secretary – North Carolina Organizer (2 positions)

Description

The mission of the NC NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. The Field Secretary works across North Carolina mobilizing, educating and assisting adult and college units with capacity building. This includes assisting local units to build a diverse membership base through age, race, income and educational levels.

 

The field secretary will also focus on expanding access to the ballot. Building upon local networks, the organizer is expected to ensure that local NAACP leaders actively facilitate non-partisan voter education, registration, and get-out-the-vote campaigns with a measurable increase in voter participation among targeted populations as an outcome.

 

The organizer will identify local non-partisan organizations and facilitate collaboration between those organizations and the local NAACP units.

 

The Field Secretary will assist in the development of volunteer leaders within the NAACP adult and youth units. Targeted outreach will be conducted with the youth and Latino populations.

 

The organizer can expect extensive travel and irregular hours due to the nature of community organizing.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a B.A. degree or equivalent experience

Part-Time Online Communications Specialist

The Online Communications Specialist reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Development Director to successfully execute online communications and fundraising activities including both online acquisition and relationship development. Individual will manage the organizations multi-channel online presence, including the website, email marketing, website optimization, social media, third-party giving applications and other special projects. Individual is responsible for providing strategy and planning and contributing to the annual online fundraising goal. Applicant should be able to wear many hats as needed.

This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent.

Applicants should support the mission of Lillian’s List to elect pro-choice Democratic women to the NC General Assembly.

Primary Duties:

· Manage scheduling and production of multi-channel fundraising campaigns including email marketing, social media, website updates and special projects.

· Collaborate with Executive Director and Development Director to develop content, including message development, calls to action, event promotion and featured candidate promotion, for website, email and social media.

· Proofread and edit content to ensure quality.

· Manage online relationships with members and other constituents to increase engagement (primarily via email and Facebook).

· Develop segmentation strategies for email marketing and fundraising.

· Employ strategies to grow email list and Facebook fans.

· Track, gather and analyze user data from website and e-mail newsletter statistics.

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical glitches with website, email, and social media providers.

· Use technology to further optimize communications and development operations.

· Perform other duties and special projects as directed

Required Skills:

· 1-3 years of experience in online marketing and communications.

· Experience with managing a website using a content management system

· Basic proficiency with HTML needed to troubleshoot website formatting and email formatting

· Experience working on a political campaign is preferred

· Ability to manage PDFs, edit photos, create graphics and edit pages

· Knowledge of online marketing techniques including best practices for SEO and SEM

· Ability to measure web trends using tools such as Google Analytics

· Experience managing and monitoring email newsletters and campaigns using an online email marketing program. Experience with NGP Van preferred.

· Proficiency in social media channels including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter

· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
