The TOP TWELVE House GOP Votes Against the 99% Feb 27, 2012 | By ThinkProgress War Room Voting Against the 99 Percent, Early & Often From ending Medicare to protecting tax giveaways to Big Oil to redefining rape and letting women die on the floors of hospitals, the Republican House of Representatives has taken up some pretty radical proposals. A new Center for American Progress Action Fund study found that the GOP House voted against the interests of the 99 Percent at least 279 times. Here’s a rundown of the top twelve House GOP votes against the 99 Percent. Repealed health coverage for 32 MILLION Americans and countless new benefits and protections for all Americans (January 19, 2011). Blocked new essential health benefits that must be covered by insurance companies (including things like contraception), putting Americans back at the mercy of the insurance companies (February 19, 2011). Ended Medicare and gutted Medicaid in order to pay for more tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations (April 15, 2011). Blocked a new database for consumer product safety information, making it more difficult for consumers to find out information about dangerous or unsafe products (February 19, 2011). Blocked the Treasury Department from helping more homeowners avoid foreclosure under the Home Affordable Modification Program by terminating the program and providing no replacement (March 29,2011). FOUR votes to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from protecting our clean air and clean water, essentially bailing out big polluters at the expense of the rest of us (April 7, July 13, and October 5 and 13, 2011). Guaranteed 700,000 jobs would be killed and slashed programs for the 99 Percent, including Medicare and Social Security via the Tea Party-inspired Cut, Cap, and Balance plan (July 19, 2011). Encouraged more economy-collapsing financial fraud by attempting to gut the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (July 21, 2011). Put corporations above the law by allowing them to ignore 76 year-old protections for workers and labor unions (September 15, 2011). Launched mean-spirited attacks and cuts in benefits directed at millions of unemployed Americans (December 11, 2011). I keep hearing the same complaint that President Obama has violated the U.S. Constitution. Funny thing is that our Constitution does not endow the office of the President with the authority to make laws, only Congress can make laws. The President just signs them. If the president doesn’t approve of the law that Congress puts before him to sign, he may veto it. Of course, Congress has the power and authority to over ride the president’s veto. (U.S. Constitution, Article I,Section 7) It’s impossible for this president or any president to make a law in violation of the Constitution unless Congress presents an unconstitutional law, which they want passed, to the president for his signature. So, if President Obama has signed any unconstitutional laws, they were written and passed by Congress before they ever got to his desk. This would be very disturbing because it would mean that the majority of Congress voted to violate the Constitution.

What I would like to hear from people is exactly what provisions of the U.S. Constitution you believe that President Obama has violated. Name the Article and the Section, or if it is among the 27 amendments, please indicate which amendment. Naturally this means that you will actually have to read the Constitution.

Making a living serving on the Rocky Mount City Council? How ignant?

The Rocky Mount City Council in it’s 4-3 black majority is not welcome black folks running things and some folks can’t take it. Things have been exposed that those before them put in place such as ElectriCities. I am so glad I know what is going on and I don’t have to rely on folks who attempt to mislead folks to tell "their" story.

It was Andre Knight, Lewis Turner, Carol Batchelor, myself and a couple of other folks in the name of Northeastern NC On The Affairs of Black People whom found out about the ElectiCites and some other things going on within the city long before he became a council member. Hell I don’t even live in Rocky Mount however I will challenge those whom live them about many issues and especially when it comes to the work of Andre Knight. You may not like him but it does not change the fact that he has done some good things since he has been on the city council.

Andre is on the council because he decided to run when he had purchased one of the most prestigious pieces of property in Rocky Mount the old Wimberly Gregory Estate on Falls Road. Many white folks along with many black folks had a problem with him when he purchased the property and many still do today.

However I do agree there are some political pimps however they make enough money to live off the backs of poor folks but this is not a position that one can do such.

A conservative black preacher has backed Newt Gringrich after the Republican presidential candidate came under fire for saying poor black children should work as janitors.

Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, who founded a Tea Party organization in South Central L.A, says that Gingrich was 100 per cent correct that blacks lack work ethic and that his own solution was to ‘send them back to the plantation’. (More)

Parents in Norcross, Georgia blasted school officials at Beaver Ridge Elementary School after teachers gave third graders a math worksheet that used examples of slavery in word problems. Following the uproar, district officials said the school’s principal will work with teachers to come up with more appropriate lessons, but that didn’t go far enough for parents who called for an apology and diversity training for teachers at Beaver Ridge, where a majority of the students are minorities. Fourth accuser urges Herman Cain to ‘come clean’ about harassment – Source: Yahoo News

A fourth woman has accused Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment–this time in public. Sharon Bialek told reporters in a press conference Monday that Cain groped her and exhibited "sexually inappropriate" behavior toward her when he was head of the National Restaurant Association. Response: Oh well what can I say? “Big Daddy Cain” a brother from another mother in response to his relationship with the Koch Brothers. So I wonder was he considered their brother and now that this “white” female has come forward I really wonder now do they consider him their “brother.” 

So why is the Democrats who have been supporting “Big Daddy Cain” not posting about him now? 

Sad. “Big Daddy” knew he had some baggage so he should have put it out first instead of letting others do it.

Politics spell “DIRT” and sometimes people lie on others but there is a real problem when one knows they have issues and then lie themselves. If Cain did not want to tell it then atleast he didn’t have to lie that he didn’t know anything about it.

Response: “Big Daddy Cain” has lost it again. Unite the United States, not divide? Really? I do like the “brother from another mother” ignance because he thinks that those brothers love him, then he is more ignant than I gave him credit for. This brother is being used by Republicans and these brothers to attempt to win the black vote. “Big Daddy Cain” Herman, So Where Are Those Democratic Party Supporters Who Were Supporting This Ignant Dude

I say ignant simply because he is still wearing his flip flops and the weather has changed. “Big Daddy Cain” continues to flip flop while on his campaign trail.

So now that Condoleezza, the Washington Post and other major newspapers are reporting on "Big Daddy Cain" the Democratic Supporters who have been trying to tell "us" as descendants of slaves why we need to support him where are you? Well this is not what I wanted to hear about him since they said we need to listen to him and give him a chance.

Is "Big Daddy Cain" still the role model that you want your children to relate to? This is why I am not into the role model thingy and will not choose role models for them. If they should call someone their role model then it will be their choice.

As I reported the first time I posted on "Big Daddy Cain" I said I hoped it was no truth to it. This just makes all black men look bad. This could make young females feel that "black" men can’t be trusted.

If the reportings about Cain are true then here we go another brother (dark-skinned) as some has said has fell in the category that many like to see be they black, white or other. An intelligent brother who has made an ignant mistake.

If it is true then he may as well take it the treatment and move on because he had options. If true he chose to do what he did and he had the opportunity to not run for President and open the door to getting tore up in the media.

Again I don’t make the news, I just report it so I will continue to follow "Big Daddy Cain" until the end to see who is lying.

Why Is It When Folks Try To Justify Mess, They Get Ignant? Intelligent Folks Know That In Most Cases People Can Not Talk About Cases That Have Been Settled Out Of Court (Cain Sexual Harassment)

I just get tickled to death when intelligent people get ignant when it comes to attempting to justify mess. Most folks know that in most cases that one can not talk about a case that has been settled out of court because there is non-disclosure language that is put in effect.

As I stated early on I hope it is no truth to this but everyday it appears to be some validity to this and it is just sad.

I don’t make the news, I just report it. I will continue to follow the Cain saga to see how it all unfolds.

Ignant Column – Blacks Democrats Supporting Cain But Talking About The Willie Lynch Story

It is funny as hell to me to see certain folks promote Cain and talking about “us” as descendants of slaves ought to join them in supporting Cain. They say that some folks are mad because Cain is a dark-skinned Negro and “our” President Barack Obama is light-skinned. They say this is the only reason why we support “our” President because he is light-skinned.

Willie Lynch is operating in many who don’t even realize it but when they open their mouths and/or write things they shows it.
Anyone who feels that black Democrats will vote for "our" current President over Cain just because of their skin color is just ignant as hell. They will simply vote for the Democrat just because they are registered as a Democrat.

I say these Cain supporters are IGNANT as hell and do not speak for me. I can think for myself.

Folks you better be “cautious” of folks who try to make you vote for a certain candidate just because they support that person.

I will continue to share information with you and you can decide for yourself who you want to support.

"The African-American vote, I am confident, based upon black people that run into, black people that used to call my radio show, black people that have signed up on my website to support me. I believe, quite frankly, that my campaign, I will garner a minimum of a third of the black vote in this country and possibly more," Cain said.

Cain slammed Obama’s recent passionate defense of his record at a Congressional Black Caucus gala this weekend, saying the president’s pitch didn’t go over well with many black Americans.
