Ignant Column: Princeville terminates attorneys – Source: The Daily Southerner

Note: I reported on Tuesday Princeville NC – The Princeville 3 Fired The Town Attorneys On Monday Night. Damn it is about time somebody go to jail over there because it appears they are doing some illegal stuff. Their actions may not be illegal per the laws as written but they sure as hell meet the qualifications for being IGNANT. The people in Princeville ought to be outraged by the actions of the Princeville 3 and should be demanding that they step down as an early Christmas present to the town. Hell yeah I said it, now what? Curmilus Dancy II – The Political Agitator

TARBORO — PRINCEVILLE — After a heated closed session, the Princeville Board of Commissioners voted 3-2 to terminate its law firm Monday night during the board’s monthly meeting.

The heat began to rise between board members after Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates called for a closed session that excluded Commissioners Ann Howell and Gwen Knight from taking part at the beginning of that meeting because it was about legal matters concerning the two.

Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What? – Rocky Mount NC – Racism At Crossing at 64 Is Alive And Well

Crossing at 64 waits on businesses – Source: Rocky Mount Telegram

Response from a comment posted on my blog.

I also think that the site would be a prime location given its proximity to Highway 64.  I asked a black friend of mine, who is a real estate agent, about this today.  She stated that potential tenants are scared off due to the fear of the "nearby criminal element." (her words)  She said that other businesses have to constantly call the RMPD due to loitering, shoplifting, drug activity, and unattended teenagers who cause trouble. Signed Binky

My response: Hell yeah this is a prime location and the problem is RACISM. If Mayor David Combs Realtor, Chambliss and Rabil and other white businessmen in Rocky Mount had gotten this Prime Piece of Property before Joyce Dickens it would have long been developed.

There has been a crime report done and the crime is no more than in other parts of the city. Obviously this ignant black real estate agent is ignant to the facts about the crime in Rocky Mount. So just because you spoke to this black friend of yours do not make it truth.

I dare you to look at the crime report and/or contact Joyce Dickens and others mentioned in the article in the Rocky Mount Telegram to get the real facts. It sounds as if your black friend has some issues with these folks because they are promoting false bill of goods. I damn sure hope they do better as a realtor but to tell you something like this they must be sorry as hell.

Ok Binky do your homework and report back.

Herman Cain: Media Scared A "Real Black Man" May Run Against Obama

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on April 10, 2011

Herman Cain speaks at a tea party event in Florida.

"The liberal mainstream media, notice how they have tried to destroy Sarah Palin. Notice how the more popular Michele Bachmann gets, the more they try to destroy her. You want to know why they go after those two ladies more viciously? Because they know that Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin is going to draw a lot of the women vote away from the Democrat Party. They are scared to death of that, if they were to run and get the nomination. They are doubly scared that a real black man might run against Barack Obama." (See video)

Note: This dude is just ignant. Why is it some black folks just don’t get it? I have no problem with them thinking differently but when they are flat out ignant I have a serious problem with them. C. Dancy II – DCN Publisher

Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What? – So Who Are Committed To Educating Black Folks About What Is Going On Around Them?

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on April 3, 2011

They Said Why Am I Angry? Angry Oh Hell No Just Speak Truth To Power!!

I am not angry I am The Political Agitator formerly The Watch Dog and across the state of North Carolina I am known as The Watch Dog of the East. Just because I use choice words and the way I express myself does not mean I have to be angry.

Now I could easily be angry because I am sick and tired of ignant black folks and Safe Negroes. Now back in the 90’s I was angry because I learned who the politicians were that were representing my interest. I learned the players and I found out if they were really representing me or just collecting a check. Hell the majority of them were just collecting a check and was not truly representing me. So when I began to do my homework and to hold them accountable along with exposing them things changed.

I know one person can make a difference but that person must know what the hell they are talking about. I have been there and done that. It pisses me off to see folks talking and complaining but saying nothing and when some folks around them who know better are hanging with these folks allowing them to say and do anything but accomplishing nothing.

I am sick of some folks continuously embarrassing the black community by being ignant to the facts. Hell I am about justice no matter who it is for or against but I am not about ignance.

I have been holding back on some things for the past 2 years so I am asking anyone who wants to talk and complain and saying nothing but misleading others that this is your final warning I am going to call you out when I know better.

Call me angry and/or whatever but one thing you will not be able to call me is ignant to the facts. I will stand with you if you invite me if you have you mess together or if I see you doing something that makes sense I will contact you. But I be damn if I am going to waste my time.

Well by now someone is probably saying who in the hell do he think he is? Well I am an involved Negro and have done my homework and continue to do so. You see I used to be a Negro (Needed to grow) but I have grown.

But wait a minute I don’t need anyone to validate me because my work speaks for me.

In my closing how many folks have attended the meetings, written about the meetings and shared with others? How many folks do you know who have videoed the meetings and made them available for others to see be it on my blog or they could obtain a VHS and now on DVD? How many of you have asked for a DVD?

And lastly who have been more committed to educating the people of Edgecombe County about what is going on around them than I? It comes with a price, my time, my weapons ie: my equipment video camera, photo camera, pocket recorder and my laptop. I get the message out during the meeting and/or shortly after the meeting because I go to the meeting with all of my weapons.

So who are committed to educating black folks about what is going on around them?

Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What? Princeville NC – Gary Foxx Fired So When Are The Citizens Of Princeville Going To Question The Motives Of Their Mayor?

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on March 31, 2011

I posted the following post on yesterday titled, “Breaking News: Princeville NC – Gary Foxx Has Been Fired From The Princeville PD.” Sources say Foxx didn’t really do anything to get fired and that the matter could have been resolved more professionally. But you see this is what happens when you are on the Mayor’s hit list.

Again I question when in the hell are the citizens of Princeville going to demand the Mayor and her puppets respond to the real issues. You see Commissioners Gwendolyn Knight and Ann Howell can’t get questions answered and they are on the town council so therefore it is obvious Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates and puppets have something to hide. But then again the puppets may just be afraid to take the heat from the Mayor so they just go along to get along. Sad!!

The citizens of Princeville I dare you to do your homework by looking at the history of the Mayor, the present Town Manager and the present Chief of Police to see what you find. I think you will find this history to be quite interesting and it just may lead you to the question of why Gary Foxx was demoted from Chief to Lieutenant to Sargent and now to fired.

I could say more but damn it is past time the citizens of Princeville do their homework like I do and then to take action. It is a damn shame that the good people of Princeville are not saying anything and while they are silent they continue to allow certain folks to send Princeville to hell.

Well citizens of Princeville you get what you ask for and then you also get what you don’t ask for. Start asking questions today so pick up your phones and contact Gary Foxx and Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates.

Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What? I Am Totally Embarrassed They Are Trying To Discredit Dr. Wayne Talley Superintendent Edgecombe County Public Schools

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on March 30, 2011

It is a damn shame a dozen or so of professional, business and church folks are trying to discredit our new Edgecombe County Public Schools Superintendent who has been on the job nearly one year. I get so sick and tired of folk misleading folks with lies. Dr. Wayne Talley was hired to do a job and these folks have an issue with him because he has eliminated their friends position.

I am trying to figure out why in the hell do they think Dr. Talley needed more time. The man has been here nearly one year. The board members already knew they are top heavy at the Central Office when they hired him and this was why they told him to do something about it.

So who in the hell do these protesters think they are that Dr. Wayne Talley Superintendent and the Edgecombe County Public Schools Board of Education must allow them to be the total deciding factor when it comes to school business? If the community has the final say so then why in the hell do we need a Superintendent and a school board?

I just love the way the letter writer feel that everyone in Edgecombe County agrees with her and her group. Not!! I understand the mindset of folks in Edgecombe County due to the fear of retaliation why they do not attend meetings. You see they feel uncomfortable having to go to work with certain folks and/or having to do business with certain folks.

I just love the way the letter writer broke down the board districts on how they voted. After Dr. Talley presented his proposal and the discussion, I don’t see how any board member could vote against the plan.

I just love the way the letter writer states Dr. Talley and the board did not consider other options for cut-backs other than teachers’ positions. So in other words it is okay to eliminate other jobs but not their friends. How selfish. I love this one more, “They didn’t even wait for the state legislators’ decision on cutting the education budget.” Well damn obviously you left before Dr. Talley did his presentation because he stated that the word came down from Raleigh that he need to do a cut for 5% and/or 10% because it would be one or the other. So I guess you are saying he made that up. Oh I know your friend board member Ann Kent said Rep. Joe Pat Tolson said it was immature to act now. I say it was immature for Tolson to make such a damn statement.

I just love it the letter writer has the audacity to have a problem with the 2 people whose jobs were eliminated being able to apply for other jobs within the system. But because it will be a lower pay level they are quick to make that an issue. Well hell they don’t have to apply they have options and I am going to let ya’ll figure them out.

I just love it the letter writer is trying to compare their friends positions with the new position Director of Grades 6-8. How in the hell do you compare a Director of Communications and Associate Superintendent of Operations and Management positions to Director Grades 6-8?

I found the letter writer taking the time to analyze some facts about Dr. Talley and Dr. Evelyn Johnson receiving degrees from NOVA Southeastern University saying it can be done completely online too damn funny. To question whether they attended their Florida campus for the degree is just too funny. So what are you saying? Your facts are not totally correct because Dr. Johnson did not vote for Dr. Talley as she voted along with Ann Kent and Faye Talyor when he was hired as Superintendent of Edgecombe County Public Schools. And then the funniest of all this is to think that just because Dr. Talley and Dr. Johnson received their Doctoral Degrees from the same entity makes them one. Now this is total ignorance.

Can’t answer the question about the superintendent getting his Ph.D online however I don’t know if the mentor was actually teaching him how to use a computer or how the computers work throughout the system.

So just because the letter writer says Dr. VanderLinden is totally competent in the use of computers, it is obvious that she was not the one because she was not hired even before we had the laptop program within our school system. It is clear that this thing is personal with the letter writer and Dr. VanderLinden.

Damn I just love it how the letter writer stated “consider the source” and went on to give us a little history about the board members persona. Well I just love ignorance because here we go again “they” these white folks wants to change the rules. Where in the hell is it stated that a board member has to have a degree in education? The qualifications are as follows: a citizen of age who resides in Edgecombe County, live in the district that one wants to seek office and can not be a convicted felon. So therefore it is up to the voters who we elect.

I just love how the letter writer plays upon my intelligence to want me to believe that board members Ann Kent and Faye Taylor or the only ones qualified to serve on this board. Oh hell no.

It is funny as hell that you left out that Attorney Teresa D. Bryant has worked for a law firm who has represented school boards across North Carolina just like our very own Edgecombe County Board Attorney Jonathan Bloomberg law firm out of Raleigh NC. This is one of the reasons why I supported attorney Bryant during the appointment when she replaced Dr. Florence A. Armstrong.

I just love how the letter writer started out saying she and a dozen of other taxpaying citizens spoke at the board meeting and then at the end of this letter of b.s. she concluded that she hope that you folks out there with children in our public schools have a say in what decisions are being made by our board. Now this is too damn funny because even folks who do not own their own houses if they own a vehicle they pay school taxes.

So I wonder do the letter writer have a child in the school system? Well I have a child in the system however I have been an advocate for the children, parents and staff of Edgecombe County dating back to 1993. It is good to see these folks come out after all of these years, however I wish they would have come out for what is best for the children of Edgecombe County and not what they feel is best for Diane LeFiles and Dr. Lana VanderLinden.

Oh and by the way I know it is 3 positions that were eliminated but I chose to not talk about the 3rd position a black female because the letter writer and the group do not give a damn about her. If I am correct only this letter writer mentioned the 3rd position at the board meeting but that was to be politically correct.

I am totally pissed that I am responding to Edgecombe County ignorance. Dr. Craig Witherspoon former Edgecombe County Superintendent got the money straight and then moved on to Birmingham to become Superintendent. Now Dr. Witherspoon successor has gone another step further and cut out more waste.

How in the hell can we have a successful school system if we are going to continue the good ole boy mentality whereby when things were supposedly good, jobs were created but now it is time to say enough is enough.

Get the hell over it and move on in the name of the children. Damn I am asking too much!!

This is my response to the letter on the opinion page of the Daily Southerner TARBORO — SIGN THE PETITION AND MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.”

When I involved myself in the hasty decision on the part of our school board to sanction Dr. Talley’s reorganization plan, I spoke out at the regular meeting on March 14, along with a dozen or so other concerned taxpayers, that this plan of action required time and careful scrutiny before voting. Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What? Breaking News: Princeville NC – Commissioner Gwendolyn Knight Wins Case Against Mayor Priscilla Everette-Oates Not One Time But Twice. Now The People Of Princeville Need To Ask That The Mayor, Calvin Sherrod, Isabelle Purvis-Andrews and The Town Attorney Charles Watts Resign Effectively Monday March 28.

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on March 25, 2011

The Judge has spoken. Mayor Priscilla Everette Oates can you hear the judge saying do you hear me now?

The Princeville Town Commissioners had no lawful authority to suspend a commissioners pay or stipend for violating a board policy therefore the board had no lawful authority to suspend pay or stipend therefore the board did not follow their own policy.

The Judge ordered the Mayor to pay $450 plus interest and the cost of court. I say the judge should have made her pay more.

Remember when Mayor Everette-Oates stated that former town manager Sam Knight should have stepped down immediately after being indicted?

Well Mayor Everette-Oates it is past time that you and your flunkies Commissioners Sherrod, Purvis-Andrews and the town attorney need to resign effective today Monday March 28 during the Princeville monthly town hall meeting.

Sources say that the Mayor business is shot to hell and that the husband was seen going into the county building and it is believe he turned in some license tags to one of the several vehicles.

Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What? Edgecombe County Public Schools I Am Pissed Board Meeting Drama Tonight That Will Be Continued On March 21, 2011

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on March 15, 2011

First of all I know I found my calling back in 1993 when I officially became an advocate for all children black, brown, white and other in Edgecombe County Public Schools. The Student Body Association (SGA) lead by a White President called me to the school to help them resolve a staged walkout because a white male teacher had grabbed a black male around the neck in the hallway.

I know without a doubt that my purpose for being is to advocate for the children of Edgecombe County. I say that because my God is guiding my steps because he kept me away for one year. Tonight is the first meeting I have attended since the new board members were sworn in and the new superintendent was hired. I got to see everyone in action for the 1st time. I usually set up an appointment to meet with the new superintendent but I had not and met him for the first time on this past Saturday morning at the College Round Up.

I heard some folks talking before the meeting began tonight that they thought the superintendent had enough support to pass his restructuring plan but it would be close. Someone said they thought Dr. Evelyn Johnson was going to get stupid tonight and that it may be a 3-3 tie and it would be up to Evelyn Wilson board chair to break the tie.

Dr. Wayne Talley said the board has asked him to look at cuts in the central office every since he began his role as superintendent because the central office was top heavy. The cuts as presented are something that the past 3 superintendents tried to do so tonight’s presentation is not really new.

Well after the superintendent made his presentation to the board I knew Dr. Talley didn’t have the support.

First it was Attorney Teresa Bryant who had a problem with Dr. Talley’s presentation saying she wanted to know who was going to take Diane LeFiles role. Dr. Talley stressed that he was only presenting the roles but she wanted a name. She said since she didn’t have a name that she couldn’t vote on the proposal until she had a name. Well she knew names couldn’t be called during the open session and it was on the agenda to handle that in closed session. She said she needed more time. Dr. Talley asked her did she read her material because the names were there.

Attorney Bryant has moved her child back to a private school and announced her official retirement in June. She was appointed to the board when Dr. Florence A. Armstrong resigned her post. Bryant was elected thereafter.

Faye Taylor new board member and in my opinion a racist because of some things she has done over the years. She had some concerns about the money figures on the 5 yr. and 10 year plan from the state but Dr. Talley addressed them again because he had did so in his presentation. She said she thought it was about state cuts but Dr. Talley said it was not only about state cuts but dealing with the local monies also. She said she needed more time.

Dr. Evelyn Johnson had this eloquent speech and how she agreed with Bryant and Taylor not to rush to make a decision. As usual she did the spill that is about the children. She said in Edgecombe County the adults have always stood in the way and that we need to let this be about the children. She thanked everyone for coming but challenged them to help a child out to help with the literacy rate.

I have heard Dr. Johnson talk about what she felt like was waste at the central office but tonight she must had a memory lapse. But there just may be a reason for that but whatever the case it is not acceptable for me. Just maybe the people should have voted to keep former board member Charlie Cobb in I don’t know. I do believe he would have supported the presentation during the open session atleast.

Ann Kent began by standing up looking for her husband saying she promised him she was going to act like a lady but since he was not present she was going to say what she wanted to.

Kent questioned Dr. Talley’s motives but most of all she said she had talked to Rep. Joe Pat Tolson and he said the board was acting immature because the state had not made a decision yet. Well damn Kent obviously didn’t hear the same presentation that I heard because Dr. Talley said the state said there would be a 5% or a 10% cut so duh. Damn so what in the hell is Tolson talking about? Oh Kent went on and on. But she had to to this because she was representing the folks who attended the meeting tonight from a local church. I have a copy of an email that was sent to others and Ann Kent from former board member Kathy Winslow who sent out emails seeking support to join her in asking the board to delay the vote tonight. So again Kent is actively engaged in representing her friends of the board in times like these because I have been told about other emails and meetings that she has been a part of.

William Keith Pittman talked about being fair and he said when he was a coach he told his players that he would put the players in that he thought was the best players but they may not been the right players. He used North Carolina Tar heels coach Roy Williams as an example. He said Williams was playing another guard until he announced he would be leaving the team and Williams put in another guard. Pittman said if Williams had not put in the new guard the team would not be where they are today.

Pittman said he would do what he feels is right for the children. He said years ago a former superintendent came to him and told him he was making too much money and he had to go. He said he understood where he was coming from and he didn’t question him. He said the superintendent didn’t ask him what he thought, he told him what he was going to do. Pittman said Jay Randall came to him and said some people in the community was upset and Pittman said he will deal with them. Pittman said he told them not to go to the board because he understood. He said he was upset but the person that took his job did and great job and still doing a great job today. He said he recommended his replacement.

Pittman asked the people of Tarboro to give the new superintendent a chance. Meet with him and then come back and he would stand with them.

Bryant said the board had to cut some jobs within the last 2 years and nobody came to support those folks and she has a serious concern about that.

Bryant said if the board is here to act on people and trying to save their jobs then just say it and we can move forward but if it is about addressing positions then we need to have further discussions. I say you damn skippy it is about saving Diane LeFiles and Dr. Lana VanderLinden’s job because that is what the people came to speak on and it was spelled out in Kathy Winslow’s letter that went out over the weekend.

Bryant then echoed Pittman’s comments. She said give the man a chance and he will rise or fall on his own. Well damn again I am missing something because why she couldn’t take that route with voting on Dr. Talley’s presentation and then dealing with her concerns in closed session whereby she could call names. So evidently she couldn’t afford him that opportunity from open session to closed session.

Attorney Janice Davidson said she echoed what Attorney Bryant said and they she would rather go into closed session to find out more before voting.

Evelyn Wilson board chair said she thanked everyone for coming however they could trust that whatever is done tonight or anytime it would be decent and in order. She said the board will do whatever is right for the children and she would see to that. She said she challenged all those present to show up at the meetings and let the board know they have helped a student out in the county. She stressed the importance of doing what is right for the children.

The board went into closed session around 10:00 PM and they came out around 11:30 PM. The board voted to table the vote until Monday, March 21, 2011 6:30 PM. The meeting ended about 11:45 PM.

Well I am pissed because all of these folks who spoke out tonight and the board members were talking about it was about the children. Oh hell no. What I seen tonight is a prime example of a group of grown folks telling the children it is okay to disrespect those in authority such as Dr. Talley. You see all of these folks complained the superintendent didn’t come to them (community) with his proposal first. Well again I ask way they do that at? I repeat during restructuring employees are given options be laid off, resign, retire or be fired.

Note: I hope to get the video up of the meeting in the next couple of days.

Been a long day and night. I will read this again today and make necessary corrections.

Princeville NC: So What Is It Going To Take To Really Get Princeville Headed In The Right Direction? (Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What?)

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on November 29, 2010

It is sad but the only thing that is going to save Princeville is some criminal charges will have to take place. It does not take a rocket scientist to see that there are some criminal activities going on within the town governmental agency.

The citizens need to understand that although some of them may be family, friends and/or whatever to some of the commissioners that as long a they remain silent they are going to continue to suffer and not receive all the real benefits that they should be receiving from their governmental agency.

I challenge the citizens to contact the mayor and request an emergency meeting now to share what business has taken place such as signing of documents and etc. since this board has been in office.

I don’t know what bothers me the most, the criminal activity that is being done or the silence of the citizens. You see it should not be Commissioner Gwendolyn Knight who the mayor is trying to silence but the citizens ought to be outraged. The citizens should be at every meeting raising hell.

Oh well who am I? I am a concerned Edgecombe County Citizen and Princeville NC just happens to be in Edgecombe County.

Hell yeah I said it, now what?

Breaking News: Princeville NC – Town Manager Victor Marrow Has Resigned Effective Today (Hell Yeah I Said It, Now What?)

Posted by Curmilus Dancy II (Butch) on November 29, 2010

Princeville Town manager Victor Marrow has resigned effective today Monday, November 29, 2010. Sources say he has had enough of the ongoing disputes working with Mayor Priscilla Everett-Oates, Commissioner Calvin Sherrod and Commissioner Isabelle Purvis-Andrews. I understand that a series of incidents happened over the weekend in Princeville related to the mayor.

Sources also question why the mayor requested she and the commissioners met in Greenville with the auditors instead of allowing the auditors to come to Princeville. I understand there is atleast one person on the payroll illegally among other things.

Sources say the town clerk had cut a check to pay Commissioner Gwendolyn Knight for checks that have been withheld after the magistrate ordered that Knight be paid on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.

I commend Commissioner Knight for asking all the right questions at the town meetings about the business of the town. Commissioner Ann Howell has done the same and when she was silenced by the mayor then she attempted to silence Knight by holding her check. Obviously Howell and Knight don’t get it that this is Priscilla-ville and not Princeville so they can’t talk. The mayor removed the commissioner’s comments from the agenda so she is the only one who can run the show. Well damn Mayor Everett-Oates is one of the few mayors who gets to vote nearly every meeting because you can count on Commissioners Sherrod and Purvis-Andrews voting against anything Commissioners Howell and Knight votes for.

Now this is what I am talking about, the manager Victor Marrow has taken a stand and we must take a stand when we see things are not going right. I was beginning to question how can this brother who is a minister continue to go along with the mayor’s mess. But then I also question how does the mayor continue to do her mess and she is a minister? Oh well.

Again I call on the citizens of Princeville to take a stand and demand justice. It is past-time that the citizens need to go to the meetings and ask the mayor and her cronies along with the ignant attorney Chuck Watts to resign also.

Enough is enough.

Hell yeah I said it, now what?
