A legislative forum sponsored by the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce discussing national health care reform has been canceled.
Officials from the Chamber announced Monday that the forum — scheduled to run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the Gateway Convention Center — was postponed until a later date. U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers, R-2nd District, was slated to serve as the evening’s guest speaker. Chamber officials said Ellmers would not be able to attend the function because she is touring areas in her congressional district affected by the weekend storms and tornados. (Read more)
