Dear High School Students and Parents/Guardians:
Eastern NC area Historic Black Colleges and University (HBCU) Alumni Association Chapters are sponsoring a College Preparation Workshop on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Western Assembly Conference Center located at 9766 US Highway 701 S Newton Grove, NC 28366.
This FREE workshop is open to parents/guardians, and to all high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are planning for and preparing to attend college.
College representatives will be on site from the following HBCUs:
- Bennett College for Women
- Fayetteville State University
- Elizabeth City State University
- Johnson C. Smith University
- Livingstone College
- NC A & T State University
- NC Central University
- Shaw University
- St. Augustine’s College
- Winston-Salem State University
The workshop will offer sessions on Financial Aid Preparation, SAT/ACT Preparation, Tips on Selecting a College, Transitioning from High School to College and many more.
