Ignant Column: I just love the ignant damn conversations on FM 99.3 about the Trayvon Benjamin Martin case. The problem I have is who in the hell do Dave Perkins and his other white guest think they are to day what the NAACP can say and do?

I try not to speak for the NAACP but today NC Rep. Buck Newton Republican was on FM 99.3 talking about the NAACP was trying to get in the spotlight to get money and to make the Trayvon Martin case a race issue and he disagreed. He said the NAACP said Trayvon Martin was gunned down like a dog and he disagreed. He said the NAACP and others were not there well damn ignant a . . . you were not there either. This is the NAACP opinion and we can say what the hell we please. Who in the hell do he think he is?

We can have an opinion and we will stand behind our opinion.

I am just damn sick of Ignant Racist White Folks who try to say they are not when I know better. The hell with you and I will not sit back silent without speaking out.

When I allow Ignant Racist White Folks tell me that I can’t talk about what is going on with Trayvon Martin in Sanford Florida and little black children be they local or nationwide then ya’ll better come see about me because I have begun to drink something stronger than Pepsi and on Coke – Cocaine. But you see this is why I will not do either because I know these Ignant Racist White Folks want me to do just that. Oh hell no!

Somebody might say I am mad. You damn right mad as hell! I get so sick and tired of having to call in to the local tv and radio stations to respond to IGNANT RACIST DAMN WHITE FOLKS who I have not and never will allow them to speak for me.

I am a life fully paid member of the NAACP and I stand 100% behind their fight for justice in the Trayvon Martin case.

So Where Were WHIG TV Herb Greenberg And FM 99.3 Dave Perkins Last Night When A Memorial Was Held For Trayvon Benjamin Martin In Rocky Mount?

I had a lengthy conversation with 2 sisters yesterday that Herb Greenberg wanted to open up his station for a forum for black folks as it relates to the shootings. I said it should not begin with Herb a white station and begin within the areas of the community where the incidents have occurred. So where was Herb last night why didn’t he cover the memorial? Also where was his morning show talk show host Wayne Hollomon and black co-host David Joyner who is also a co-host on FM 99.3 weekly.

I just love how these 2 local stations read what the local newspaper Rocky Mount Telegram says and report it as the only thing that took place during last night’s memorial and other things that are reported in the papers.

Again I repeat the difference in how they report the news and how I report is totally different.I attend the events, I give my opinion but I post the video so others can watch it from the comfort of their homes, office and etc. and they can dispute my opinions and also give their spill on how the perceived the video.

I get so sick of local outlets misleading folks with their opinions when they don’t tell what really happened at the events but how can they when they never attend. But damn these folks think they get to pick and choose what black folks ought to be doing. Oh hell no!

I will be a guest on FM 99.3 Spotlight on The Community with Dave Perkins Monday April 9, 2012 at 8:00 AM. I don’t know what the topics will be but tune in. However I do believe the topics will be very interesting and I know we are going to talk politics.

Ignant Column: I Hate It When Folks Are Ignant To What The NAACP Stand For And How Rev. Al Sharpton Operates Especially Those On WHIG TV, FM 99.3 The Morning Show And Other Local Media

As a Life Fully Paid Member of the NAACP you need to do your homework as it relates to what the NAACP stands for. Those of you who are ignant to what the NAACP mission, vision statement and objectives are you need to read it before you open your mouth and make a damn fool of yourself.

As it relates to Rev. Al Sharpton and some other activist you need to understand what role they play also.

I was looking at WHIG TV Morning Show on Monday night and David Joyner talked about his brother getting killed in Rocky Mount. A white caller called in talking about he was not trying to stir up anything but he wanted to know why the NAACP, the Rev. Al Sharpton’s and others don’t speak up about black on black crime. However that is totally false.

As it relates to David Joyner’s brother getting killed show me how the NAACP’s mission, vision statement and objectives relate. The NAACP get involved in things when people come to them and fill out a complaint as it relates to the mission, vision statement and objectives.

Rev. Al Sharpton was called to Sanford Florida by the family to come down to help them with the exposure. Rev. Al could not have gone to Florida and done a damn thing without the family working with him. He would be ignant as hell to go to Florida without the family’s permission.

Recently I received a phone call about an incident dealing with some young students and was anybody doing anything about it? I said I can’t get involved if the parents do not allow me to get involved because first of all it is a personnel manner and I don’t know all the facts just what I read in the local papers and heard in the community. Only a damn fool would try to fight a cause when they have not heard from those involved and being given permission to work with them.

To all the ignant folks who talk about what black folks especially the NAACP, the Rev. Al Sharptons and folks like myself who have been labeled by ignant white and black folks I challenge black, brown, white and other folks all the time. My blog speaks to it. I have been calling in and have hosted radio and tv shows speaking out about issues be they black, brown, white and/or other.

When it comes to the local radio and tv talk shows so many folks are afraid to call in and respond to the ignant callers. I work during the day so therefore I miss the shows unless I just happen to be off work on a give day. However I look at a local tv talk show every night but it is pre-recorded so I can’t call in. Damn this bothers me because the ignant folks are winning because many times no one calls in and challenge them.

I will continue to be speak up about issues and people and don’t give a damn who gets mad.

Note: Know that being ignant is not always a bad thing, however it is a bad thing when you don’t do anything about it especially when you are trying to discredit others. Know what you are talking about when you open your mouth so you will not make a damn fool out of yourself.

Robert Draper Who Wrote The GQ Magazine Article “The Lost Girls Of Rocky Mount” Interview On Local Radio Station

This dude started out crazy as hell to me when he talked about he learned about the murdered and missing women from a friend from Rocky Mount NC. He thought this would be a good story because of the voter turnout during the President Barack Obama Election.

I am trying to figure out what in the hell does President Barack Obama election has to do with these women since Draper repeated it several times about the election and nothing was done as it relates to the women. He stressed this because our President is black.

I found Draper’s conversation to be quite interesting because he felt that the Edgecombe County Sheriff Department was uncooperative with him. He stated that he was not given information but later came back and said that he did have all of the public information that was public record. And he also said that he understood since it was an ongoing case that law enforcement normally don’t share information.

Chief Police John Manley was on the show last week and spoke to the interview. Draper spoke to that as well.

Dave Perkins has stated several times that he felt Draper did a good job of telling who the women really were, the human side of them. I say not!!

I am trying to figure out how in the hell do Draper think that just because Pittman was a sex offender that he should have been automatically checked out.

I am still trying to figure out what was behind Draper’s comment of these women record was much longer than Pittman’s record.

After reading the GQ Magazine and listening to this interview, I wonder what was his real motive.
