TARBORO — PRINCEVILLE — A Princeville Town Hall employee has been charged with embezzlement, but is reportedly still employed by the town.
According to a copy of a warrant obtained from the Edgecombe County Courthouse, Diana Lee Draughn, 46, of Scotland Neck, was charged with two counts of embezzlement from April 26, 2010 through Dec. 16, 2010. (More)

A city of Rocky Mount employee was indicted Monday in connection with a fraud and embezzlement investigation.
Police reportedly received information about the possible fraud within the Water Resources Department and investigated the allegations. The city’s Human Relations Department staff said Gary Ronald Weeks, 53, was suspended without pay on Aug. 1 and fired Aug. 30. (Read more)
