ATTORNEY WARNS NHC SCHOOL SYSTEM RUNS LAWSUIT RISK by Cash Michaels

A local civil litigation attorney, who specializes in public entities/municipalities law, has cautioned the NHC School Board that if it decides to increase the percentage of free and reduced lunch students (F&R) in Wilmington’s Williston and D.C. Virgo middle schools beyond 50 percent for the sake of maintaining neighborhood schools, it could face a federal complaint from the NC NAACP similar to what the civil rights group announced against the Wayne County Public School System last week.
